Lee Gren, also known as Dick Cherry was born in Chicago, Illinois.
In his teen years, while building a half pipe in his neighbor's back yard, the suburban streets echoed with the electrifying vocals of Lux Interior, Jon Spencer, and Jonny Rotten. It wasn't just the sound and lyrics that seeped into Dick's heart and soul, it was the cover art on each album he purchased. Dick could escape into the worlds created by Robert Williams, Coop, and Ed "Big Daddy" Roth. Throughout his childhood, Dick/Lee knew he wanted to live where Roth's hot rods owned the streets, Williams' robot rockers become legends and Coops women lined the beach.
In the fall of 2000, Dick and his wife, Jill Warner, packed up what little they had into a truck and moved to Los Angeles, CA. Later that year, a club promoter and musician gave Dick his first break designing a rock poster for a charity event at the Hard Rock Cafe in Beverly Hills, CA.
Since that first rock poster, Dick Cherry has worked with many talented musicians creating cover art, rock posters, Logos, and other propaganda.
In 2009, Lee started working as a Graphic Artist designing tattoos for films, such as "Batman vs Superman," "Justice League" "Aquaman," "John Carter of Mars," and numerous television shows such as, "Sons of Anarchy," "Blindspot," through Academy Award Winner Christien Tinsley's company, Tinsley Studio.
Lee has also worked as a conceptual artist for Sony PlayStation, and designed movie posters for feature films.
