‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ actress Anupama Solanki will soon be seen playing the negative lead in the show ‘Bindiya Sarkar’. Bagging the role has been quite a process for Anupama.
Talking about the same, Anupama says: “For the last two months, I have been taking look tests for ‘Bindiya Sarkar’, but somehow they didn’t work. Finally after a lot of hard work, I have now got this powerful role. I was not expecting this character, but all of a sudden I got a call from Jay Mehta Production who called me for a look test and then after a few days, I was locked in for this role.”
She adds: “This character is very challenging compared to my earlier shows because this is an unmarried lady who has some spiritual power. She is also very cunning and smart.
“I am very lucky as I always end up getting challenging characters.

Even as the television industry was reeling under the effect of shoots being halted due to the second wave of Covid-19, the cyclone Tauktae has worsened the situation, with majority TV sets in Maharashtra, Gujarat and areas damaged in a big way.
Jd Majethia, chairman, Indian Film and Television Producers Council (Iftpc) says almost every set has incurred some damage or the other as the makers were not prepared for this sort of a weather hazard, especially with monsoon nowhere around as yet.
"Mid-May is when we prepare for the monsoon and look at whatever work needs to be done on the set. This was due, and we were waiting for permission so that, with lockdown being lifted, we could start. But the cyclone struck and all the sets -- outdoors, exterior, indoor -- have been affected. Chicago – Sean Bean is an actor who naturally exudes menace. His dark squinting eyes always seem to be up to something, and surely assisted him in getting cast as the bad guy in a variety of blockbusters. While American moviegoers know him primarily for roles such as Jack Ryan’s adversary in “Patriot Games,” British audiences view Bean as their equivalent to a heroic Jack Ryan-type everyman, thanks to his portrayal of swashbuckling soldier Richard Sharpe.
Based on Bernard Cornwell’s series of historical fiction novels, the “Sharpe” film saga was originally broadcast in the mid-90s, consisting of no less than fourteen installments. Sharpe starts out as a British sergeant who receives a promotion after saving the life of the future Duke of Wellington. The books, and their subsequent television adaptations, chronicle Sharpe’s adventures in the Napoleonic Wars, climaxing at the Battle of Waterloo. Two more “Sharpe” films were shot a decade later,...

Love knows no language. Love knows no barriers. Love knows no age. It's this thought that director Kabir Sadanand tries to encapsulate in his second directorial venture Tum Milo Toh Sahi.
Tum Milo Toh Sahi may not be the most amazing take on relationships, but it has several moments that make you experience myriad emotions in those two hours. Especially the portions involving Nana Patekar and Dimple Kapadia. Having said that, it must be pointed out that the Rehan-Anjana portions are just not captivating. They lack the power to keep you hooked. Yet, the outcome is much better than what's being churned out in the name of cinema and entertainment these days.
Final word? Watch it, especially for veterans like Nana and Dimple, whose stellar act proves that old is gold, indeed!
