Two of Black Sabbath’s original iron men — Ozzy Osbourne and guitarist Tony Iommi — made a surprise reunion in their hometown of Birmingham, England, on Monday night with a performance at the city’s Commonwealth Games. They performed their classic “Paranoid” alongside two musicians who joined them on their final tour, The End: Adam Wakeman, who played bass and keyboards, and drummer Tommy Clufetos.

LONDON -- Teenager Dizzee Rascal on Tuesday (September 9) night became the first rapper and the youngest artist to win the Mercury Music Prize for best British or Irish album of the year. Rascal beat off the challenge from established bands Coldplay and Radiohead and new favorites The Darkness to the top prizes. Mercury judges said the 19-year-old Londoner's album, "Boy in da Corner" on independent record company Beggar's Banquet's XL imprint, was "rough, raw and compelling." Dizzee, whose real name is Dylan Mills, accepted his award and £20,000 ($31,800) from last year's winner, Ms Dynamite. "Remember to support British talent, 'cos it's there," the rapper said. An industry panel makes the annual selection and winners typically see a significant sales boost. The other nominees were Irish band The Thrills, folk artist Eliza Carthy, rock quartet Athlete, dance duo Lemon Jelly, soul duo Floetry, jazz star Soweto Kinch, soul singer Terri Walker and Martina Topley-Bird.
