Xavier Gallais

Xavier Gallais was born on December 25, 1979. He is a french actor best known for his theatre play and stage director.
He was a student from the CNSAD (Superior french National Dramatic Art) of Daniel Mesguich (French Stage director) and Now since 2013 he is acting professor in this school.
He win in 2004 the french prize of Molière for the theatre of male revelation for "Roberto Zucco" of Bernard-Marie Koltès. the french reviewer was very delighted and compares his play to Patrick Dewaere.
Early spotted by Jacques Weber, he plays in Cyrano of Bergerac with Marina Hands in 2001 and in Ondine interpreted by Laetitia Casta in 2004.
Weber directed Xavier in Ruy Blas for the french télévision in 2002 where he plays beside Gérard Depardieu and Carol Bouquet.
In 2009 he plays the role of "Vaccaro" in Baby Doll of Tennessee Williams with Mélanie Thierry. His character, very appreciated from the public to reviewer gives it to him an important twist in his career.
For the Opera he plays "Brother Dominique" with Marion Cotillard in Jeanne au bucher directed by Marc soustrot at the Auditori of Barcelona.
in 2014 he opens the 68th Festival of Avignon in the title rôle "The prince of homburg 60 years after Gérard Philipe, one of the festival creator directed by Giorgio Barberio Corseti.

Koltès) ; Gilbert Désveaux, (The Greecks of J-M. Besset, La maison et le zoo of Edward Albee) ; Claude Baqué (White September of Neil LaBute). Under the direction of Arthur Nauzyciel, he plays in Ordet of Kaj Munk created for the Avignon Festival in 2008, in 2011 in Hunger of Knut Hamsun , and in 2012, he played Tréplev in the Seagull of Anton Tchekhov, for the Court of honor of Popes Palace in Avignon Festival. In 2015 2016 he plays in english in "Splendid's" of Jean Genet directed by Arthur Nauziciel for the international (New York, Séoul, Madrid and Paris) with american actors and the voice in english of Jeanne Moreau.
