- I mean, I hate when actors talk about how hard their job is. It's ridiculous, because we have the best job in the world.
- I don't tweet.
- I did come to L.A. to try to get on TV and get in front of a camera, so I could have a stage career in New York.
- Bugs have always loved me.
- If you can figure out how to get paid to do something you love, that's the dream.
- You know, I love the South.
- Let's just say I'm a physical guy.
- I've never been a big gore guy.

- (On working with Kevin Spacey on Baby Driver (2017)) Going on to that set and working with him, I wasn't there much, but when I was there, he really rubbed me the wrong way. I thought he was a bit of a bully. I didn't really care for the way he was behaving toward some of the other people on set. I remember at the time thinking, 'Man, if that was a woman that he was talking to, I would've done something, I would've said something'. I was really happy to sort of get out of there for that reason, and I just remember losing a ton of respect for him. I think it would be weak of me to sort of pile on about some shit that I don't know about, but the kind of man he was when I saw him, working with him, made me lose all respect for him and I was enormously disappointed.
- [on The Punisher] It's a character that's resonated deeply with members of law enforcement and the military, and that's something I take super seriously, along with the comic book fans. As far as the comic book fans are concerned, one of the true pleasures for me in this was the research and going all over the country, going from comic book store to comic book store and eating up as much of this as I possibly could.
- [on The Punisher] When they announced that I was going to be playing the part, I went to a comic book store in Ventura and there was a guy smoking a cigarette, there was no one in the store, he was sitting outside and he was like "can I help you?" and he didn't even look up. And I said "yeah, man, I'm just looking for some Punisher comics" and he's like "yeah, we don't have much since the announcement"[...] And then he looked up and said "whoa, it's you!" And he was so cool and so helpful and he said "you need to read this, this, and this" and he gave it to me for free! But then I went to New York. I go into a comic book store in Brooklyn. I go in and I get a whole stack and I go up to buy them and [the clerk] looks at me, and he goes "yeah, I know who you are." And I go "okay, cool, man; I just want to buy these comics." He goes "no you don't, you're not taking this, you're not taking this, you're not taking this, you're not taking this; you need to read this, this, this, and this!" And I said "okay, dude" and he's like "do not mess this up!"
