Josh Line is Executive Vice President, Marketing, Creative & Digital for Comedy Central, Paramount Network and TV Land. In this role, he is a key member of the brand group's senior leadership team, overseeing all facets of strategic and creative brand development, consumer marketing and cross-business initiatives. His teams produce award-winning marketing campaigns and content across platforms including TV, digital, audio, live events, and consumer products. Comedy Central won the prestigious Cannes Lions Gran Prix for The Daily Show presents The Donald J. Trump Presidential Twitter Library. Aligned to Viacom Digital Studios, the brand saw 108% increase in viewership and 139% increase in engagement this past year for its digital franchises and originals across digital and social platforms.
Line joined Viacom in 2011 as an early member of Scratch, a creative strategy and consulting division that channeled Viacom's understanding of its audiences and cultural force to build brands. During his time with Scratch Line led a number of internal and external projects, including a broad partnership with General Motors to redefine the company's position with young people. As Viacom's SVP, Marketing Strategy, Trends and Insights, he built and directed teams responsible for the company's marketing, brand strategy and thought leadership.
Prior to Viacom, Line held client leadership roles at creative agencies Droga5, Anomaly and TBWA/Chiat/Day, overseeing marketing and innovation projects for companies such as Coca-Cola, BMW, Disney, and Pfizer. He launched eos lip balm and Avec Eric, the Emmy® Award-winning media and business venture of 4-star Chef Eric Ripert.
Josh holds a BA in Near Eastern History from Princeton University.
