LONDON -- Metrodome, the U.K. theatrical and DVD distribution subsidiary of German entertainment group TV-Loonland, has appointed Peter Urie as its new managing director, the company said Monday. Metrodome chairman Selma Kappel said Urie will replace current MD Andrew Keyte, who is stepping down from the company to return to the TV industry in an undisclosed role. Urie, a former BBC executive, joins Metrodome from Hit Entertainment where he was most recently vp, group head of production (Europe) and managing director of TSS and Media Merchants, a duo of companies acquired by Hit in Aug. 2002.
