David Morwick is an award-winning actor, writer and filmmaker. He won Best Actor at the Cannes World Film Festival, Best Actor at the Best Actor & Director Awards New York, Best Actor at the Actor Awards Los Angeles, Best Actor at the New York Film Awards, Best Actor at the East Coast Movie Awards, Best Actor at the Paris Film Awards and Best Actor at the Hollywood Gold Awards for the award-winning film, "Ticking." David was also the winner of the Boston Globe Best Actor Award for his role in Neil Simon's "Plaza Suite." Some of his TV credits include, "The Trouble With Billy", " Good Cops" and "Against the Law." He co-starred with William McNamara in the political thriller, "The Audit", for which he was awarded Best Actor for his performance from the Actors Awards, Los Angeles. He also won Best Screenplay and a Best Actor Award at the Top Shorts Film Festival.
Some of his other film credits include the role of a sadistic drug dealer in "Undocumented", the romantic lead in the bittersweet comedy/drama, "Where Are They Now", for which he won Best Actor and Best Original Story from The New York Film Awards, as well as winning Best Actor from The Hollywood Gold Awards. In addition, he won Best Actor in a Comedy at the Actor Awards, Los Angeles for his role in "Where Are They Now". He also played a fiery political advocate in "The Mondavi Gang", which was nominated for Best Short at the Women's Image Network Awards and the boyish innocent in "Little Erin Merryweather", a feature film that he wrote, directed and starred in. It was named Best Picture at the Woods Hole Film Festival. He won Best Acting Duo with his co-star, Vigdis Anholt at the LA Actors Awards. Morwick was also nominated for Best Performance of the Festival by the LA Actors Awards. The film also won Best Original Score at the New York Film Awards as well as being named as a finalist for Best Picture. Morwick's script was also nominated for Best Original Story as well as being nominated for Best Screenplay at the LA Film Awards. Additionally, he won Best Actor at the Hollywood Gold Awards. For his role in Little Erin Merryweather, he was named to the Top Ten Final Boys of Horror. Morwick was named "Most Promising Filmmaker in New England" by the Boston Underground Film Festival. He has also worked as a producer on Emmy award-winning documentaries and was a producer for the award-winning "Blackwater Blues", starring Jason London and Corin Nemec. He is an alumnus of Emerson College in Boston where he received a BFA in Acting. He also attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.
