Katharine Kreiner-Phillips
Katharine Kreiner-Phillips (also known as Kathy Kreiner) is a Canadian Olympic gold medalist in alpine skiing. She was born in Timmins, Ontario and is the youngest of six children. Her parents are Margaret (Peggy) and Harold O. Kreiner. Kathy is a six time Canadian National Championship winner and was the only athlete for Canada to win a gold medal in the 1976 Winter Olympics. She was featured in Canada Vignettes: Skier (1978), showing her training and her gold medal win in the 1976 Olympics.
Kathy resides in North Vancouver, British Columbia with her husband, Dave Phillips (former freestyle skier). They have three children together.
