Steve Ackels

Steve Ackels joined ESPN in August 1998, and is a senior coordinating producer. He oversees the production for live college football games and Monday Night Football.
Ackels has worn many hats at ESPN over the last two decades, starting as a production assistant, and moving on to roles as an associate producer, producer and coordinating producer in event production. His work spans across a number of properties, including college baseball, basketball and football, X Games, The Spelling Bee, NFL Draft and NBA Draft.
Ackels has earned two Sports Emmy awards in his career.
Prior to joining ESPN, he was a marketing manager at the Century Club of San Diego for the Buick Invitational (1996-1998), and a production assistant for MPP Productions (1994-1996).
