- Tara's first job in the film industry was working as a film location liaison. This started when she was 12 years old and she was left in charge when the film trucks rolled in to film in her family's home. She was instantly hooked. For five years, she spent hundreds of hours hiding under tables while the house was transformed into a film set. After graduating from University, she found a shoe box in her closet filled with film crew business cards. She proceeded to call every single contact she had until she landed a job as a Director's Assistant to Richard Benjamin and then Bob Saget. Thirty years later, Tara still has a passion for the collaboration, the challenge and the magic that comes with working in film and television.
- Tara's sister Country Music Star Jessie Farrell has songs featured in every episode of Scout & The Gumboot Kids. She also appears in the new music spin off series "Jessie & The Gumboot Kids.".
