Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched “Tiger King 2” on Netflix.
It has been a year and a half since “Tiger King” mania took over the newly-locked down world, and now Netflix is hoping to recapture that magic with “Tiger King 2.” This time around, though, the focus is much heavier on Carole Baskin and her missing former husband, Don Lewis.
The original docuseries — centering on a feud between big cat zoo owners and the tumultuous personal life and fame seeking of Joseph “Joe Exotic” Maldonado-Passage — first premiered on Netflix in March 2020, right when the Covid-19 pandemic was forcing people inside. A content consumption frenzy ensued, leading to directors Rebecca Chaiklin and Eric Goode filming enough additional footage to fill five more episodes.

Big cats and an even bigger love life. Tiger King breakout star Joe Schreibvogel Maldonado-Passage, aka Joe Exotic, detailed his wild past romances with ex Brian Rhyne, former husband Travis Maldonado, and lovers Jc Hartpence and John Finlay during the first season of the megahit Netflix docuseries, as well as at the time current marriage to Dillon Passage (the two later separated in spring 2021). Now that Tiger King 2 has launched, fans are getting more of a view into Exotic’s past — including his romance with ex-fiancée Kimberly Craft, whom he first met Kimberly at age 19 when he was serving as the youngest chief of police in Texas. “He had a magnet that said ‘police’ that he put on the side of his squad car,” Craft explains in the first episode of Season 2. “He was very good looking and he ended up asking me out on a date, so we started dating.

Joe Exotic and Dillon Passage are ending their marriage after more than three years together. Dillon broke the news on Friday, March 26 in an Instagram statement, saying he plans to "always love and support" the Tiger King star as he remains behind bars for orchestrating an attempted murder-for-hire plot against Carole Baskin and violating wildlife protection laws. Joe and Dillon's relationship was featured in last year's stranger-than-fiction Netflix docuseries that has since inspired multiple scripted series. Dillon is his fourth husband. "In November of 2017 I met Joe who was there for me during a difficult time in my life," the...

2020 has been full of lots of bizarre things, and the Netflix series Tiger King was one of them. Released in March of 2020, Tiger King, told the twisted story of zookeeper Joe Exotic who was charged and convicted of a murder for hire plot. While Joe was the star of the show, his husband, Dillon Passage, has also been getting a lot of attention. Not only does their age difference make their relationship slightly unconventional, but Dillon has chosen to stick with Joe during his prison sentence. Although Dillon wasn’t around for much of the drama depicted in the

Tiger King‘s Joe Exotic is now an international celebrity, with viewers around the world familiar with his eccentric personality, life story and feud with animal rights activist Carole Baskin. Unfortunately for him, he’s at the beginning of a 22-year prison sentence for hiring a hitman and animal cruelty and cannot enjoy any of his newfound fame. Worse, he knows all too well that other people connected to him are enjoying wealth and popularity off his back (Carole now owning his former park also has to sting).
As such, he’s desperate to leave prison and has published a letter asking: “President Trump to keep his word and look into making this wrong a right and grant me a miracle.” He goes on to describe his plight, saying:
“My soul is dead, I struggle every day to hold on to what little hope I can find. They keep me locked down 24/7 with no phone,...

Dillon Passage, husband to Joe Exotic (Joseph Maldonado-Passage), the infamous subject of Netflix's Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness, never thought the various scripted projects about the life of his husband would come together. That changed when Nicolas Cage signed on to play Joe Exotic in a limited series project from CBS Television Studios and Imagine Television. "I thought they were talking out their ass about a making movie, but it's legit now I guess," Passage told E! News in an exclusive interview. "I'm pretty excited. It'll be interesting to see how somebody else portrays this because obviously I've lived this, but I'm excited to see how this all turns out." The...

Do not expect to hear a Joe Exotic radio program in the foreseeable future.
Earlier in the week, the husband of Joseph Maldonado-Passage, aka Joe Exotic, the subject of the Netflix docuseries Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness, was quoted saying there were talks that an unnamed station wanted Maldonado-Passage to host a show from prison.
"So we'll see what happens with that," Dillon Passage told the U.K.'s Metro tabloid paper. "It's kind of mind-blowing."

Tiger King star Joe Exotic still remains under quarantine three weeks after multiple inmates at his Texas prison tested positive for Covid-19, his husband told E! News in an exclusive interview. Dillon Passage, who appeared in the wildly popular Netflix docu-series and remains married to Joe as he carries out a 22-year sentence, said he is still in isolation at a prison medical center. "Our phone calls are really limited," Dillon explained, adding that he's only spoken to Joe twice since his transfer to the facility. Joe is "holding up," Dillon added. "He is kind of sad because he can't talk to people like he could before so that is taking a toll on him. I have no...

Can't stop talking about Tiger King? Hoping for more? You're in luck! In a near-inappropriate announcement video, Joel McHale revealed that he's hosting a brand new episode of Tiger King. It's a sort of after show, featuring brand new interviews with subjects of the docuseries, including John Reinke, Joshua Dial, John Finlay, Saff, Erik Cowie, Rick Kirkman, and Jeff and Lauren Lowe, with updates on where they are all now after the release of the series. Apparently we won't be hearing from Carole Baskin or Joe Exotic's current husband Dillon Passage. "It's going to be eye-opening, and hopefully funny," McHale says in the video, while shirtless, draped in animal print...

Tiger King has been an unexpected smash for Netflix. The documentary series about the feud between zoo owner Joe Exotic and animal rescue advocate Carole Baskin has captured the attention of pretty much the entire planet. Perhaps the key to its success is that it has absolutely nothing to do with the Coronavirus pandemic, allowing viewers to forget all that unpleasantness and bask in eccentric people and footage of big cats. As an example of the heights the show has reached, questions were even asked about pardoning Exotic during a Presidential press conference this week.
Netflix is understandably eager to capitalize on this and there are already rumors of a second season being planned. In the meantime, though, we’ve begun to hear that there’ll be an additional ‘bonus episode’ added to the first season. Joe Exotic's husband, Dillon Passage, re-appeared on Andy Cohen's SiriusXM show on Monday and confirmed that a "reunion" of sorts will take place. Dillon said he will not appear in the not-yet announced project, explaining, "It's going to be a live episode, kind of like a reunion. Netflix didn't contact me to apart of...

Based on the platform’s Top 10 most popular section, “Tiger King” has now reigned as the most watched program on Netflix for 12 consecutive days.
“You know it would be nice if I could actually see me being famous out there but I’ve seen these same four walls for a year and a half now,” Maldonado-Passage said, speaking from prison in an interview with Netflix that was conducted March 22.
“I’m ashamed of myself,” he confessed about having kept so many animals in confinement over many years, challenging viewers to try sitting in a cage like his animals did.

Attention casting directors — Joe Exotic has spoken!
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday, Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin, the filmmakers behind the wild Netflix docuseries Tiger King, revealed that disgraced zookeeper Joseph Maldonado-Passage (aka Joe Exotic) wants either Brad Pitt or David Spade to portray him in a scripted take on his life story.
But not just any David Spade. Maldonado-Passage, 57, specifically requested circa-2001-Joe-Dirt David Spade, mullet and all.
“He would like Brad Pitt or David Spade to play him,” said Chaiklin, adding, “He doesn’t refer to David Spade as David Spade — he refers to him as ‘Joe Dirt.

The Tiger King is still a married man.
Ever since “Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness” dropped on Netflix less than two weeks ago, viewers have wondered if Joe Exotic (whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage) and his fourth husband, Dillon Passage, are still together.
“We are still married,” Passage, 24, said during an exclusive interview with “Variety Live!” on Tuesday.
The 57-year-old infamous zoo owner is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence after being convicted of 17 counts of animal cruelty as well as conspiring to have his business nemesis Carole Baskin killed.
“I wasn’t just going to abandon him when he needed help because he was there for me,” Passage said. “I felt it was only right to stand by him and not judge him for the circumstance because I understood his relationship with Carole. It was a very negative kind of thing and he was in a dark...

As Netflix’s true-crime docuseries “Tiger King” continues to fascinate the quarantined masses nationwide, Edward Norton and Dax Shepard say they both want to play the larger-than-life huckster at the center of it all, Joe Exotic, in a biopic.
Luckily, Norton came up with a compromise we suspect people might like.
It started Wednesday, when Shepard tweeted, “If I don’t get cast as Joe Exotic in the eventual biopic, Hollywood is broken.” And to be fair, when we squint we can definitely see the resemblance.
Skip ahead to Thursday however, when Norton replied to Shepard. “Um, step aside, pal. You’re way too young and buff and you know it,” the three-time Oscar nominee said.
Luckily, Norton had a compromise for Shepard: “You could probably pull off Maldonado still, actually. Wouldn’t that be fun?”...
