Martin Grigorov

Born in Sofia, Bulgaria on June 7th, 1992, Martin Grigorov is the winner of two prestigious awards for non-produced screenplays: at the 2017 Cannes Screenplay Contest for Best Historical Drama, "In the Shadow of Lenin", and at the 2020 Australian International Screenwriting Awards (Second Prize) for "Undercurrent".
He is a graduate of EICAR - The International Film & Television School in Paris, France and says he is "strongly interested in stories that deal with social injustice, oppression and discrimination".
Grigorov is also the author of the script "The Third Republic" which, he says, "is meant to serve as a dark warning against the danger of fascism in today's economically and socially unstable Bulgarian society".
Since April 2020, Martin Grigorov is an authorized representative of Industrialon Ltd., a production company registered with the National Film Center of Bulgaria and managed by Kiril Grigorov.
