David Lynch recently gave Twin Peaks fans a peek under the red curtain at the Blu-ray / DVD release of the third season of Twin Peaks, and now EW has unveiled the updated cover art and list of special features.
As revealed by EW, the new cover art below has the same artwork that Lynch revealed (featuring Agent Cooper and his doppelganger, Mr.C), but now the title reads "A Limited Event Series" instead of the previous title of "The Third Season".
According to EW, home media release will include more than six hours of bonus features (with 80 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage only included on the Blu-ray). One of the special features is Impressions: A Journey Behind the Scenes of Twin Peaks, a collection of "making of" short films clocking in at about 30 minutes apiece and directed by Jason S. In the broad scope of anime history, it would be inaccurate (and maybe even a little unfair) to call “Neo Yokio” an unprecedented series. But you’d be hard-pressed to find a batch of six TV episodes with quite the same subject matter overlap as the latest Netflix animated effort. Starring the voice talents of Jaden Smith and executive produced by Ezra Koenig, “Neo Yokio” is a hyperspecific blend of neo-futurist metropolises, prep school drama, and high-society intrigue, all with a dash of field hockey and weekend jaunts to the Hamptons. The result is a bespoke anime that’s confounding at times, but always in search of new layers to its insulated universe.
Wisely, “Neo Yokio” doesn’t spend more than a narrated intro explaining the origins of its title city, an alternate futurist New York of sorts. Instead it revels in a slew of off-kilter details in the life...

Kate Winslet and Idris Elba are two formidable actors that exude immaculate on-screen presence. So having both co-star in a film that basically pits them alone for most of the runtime can lead one to assume we’d be in for something special. The Mountain Between Us, adapted from the book by Charles Martin, is not that special movie. The Hollywood debut of Palestinian director Hany Abu-Assad, who made Paradise Now and Omar, turns out to be surprisingly pedantic. Whereas the two aforementioned movies dealt with hefty, substance-driven subject matters, The Mountain Between Us is nothing more than a survival love story set in the far-reaching rocky mountains.
Winslet plays photojournalist Alex and Elba is neurologist Ben. They meet at Salt Lake City airport after their flight is cancelled. Much to their fortune — or lack thereof, it turns out — they meet a pilot (Beau Bridges) that flies them in his private chartered plane.

The secret tensions between Princess Diana and Prince Charles didn’t remain behind closed doors for long.
Throughout the 1980’s, many viewed the couple as a fairy tale come to life — especially after their extravagant 1981 wedding. Quickly, Diana became one of the most photographed (and talked-about) people in the world.
By the time the ’90s rolled around, the press attention on Charles and Diana’s marriage was at an all-time high. So high, in fact, that Parliament called the editors of U.K. newspapers to Westminster to debate a person’s right to privacy versus the public’s right to know.

In the years just before and after her separation from Prince Charles, Princess Diana was weighing a tough decision.
The royal — who had been privately struggling with bulimia, depression and her husband’s longtime affair with his eventual wife, Camilla (then Parker-Bowles, now the Duchess of Cornwall) — wanted to open up about the mistreatment she felt she’d been subject to throughout her marriage.
And as it became clear that her marriage was unraveling, she grew concerned about losing everything. Her friend James Colthurst, tells People in this week’s cover story that she feared that her children, Prince William and Prince Harry,...

Princess Diana and Prince Charles‘ marriage breakdown has been making headlines for decades, but a new book claims that the two were at odds long before they publicly announced their separation — with Charles seeking help with their relationship as early as their honeymoon.
Royal writer Sally Bedell Smith claims in her new biography on the Prince of Wales, Prince Charles: The Passions and Paradoxes of an Improbable Life, that a mixture of both the couple’s gaping age difference and Diana’s emotional and mental state put a strain on their romance. She also writes that Diana’s reluctance...

Every week, IndieWire asks a select handful of film and TV critics two questions and publishes the results on Monday. (The answer to the second, “What is the best film in theaters right now?”, can be found at the end of this post.)
This week’s question: This past Friday saw the release of Raoul Peck’s “I Am Not Your Negro,” a documentary that speaks to our present moment through the writings and actions of the late James Baldwin. What other documentaries — recent or not — might help people better understand and / or respond to the state of the world today?
Richard Brody (@tnyfrontrow), The New Yorker
“The state of the world today” is too big a matter for any one documentary, because there’s no one state of things, there’s an overwhelming diversity of experiences — and the history of movies is as much the history of the ones that it doesn’t show.

This week on "Pretty Little Liars," everyone's favorite teen sleuths were determined to find out whether Aria Montgomery's ex-boyfriend, Andrew Campbell, is also Charles Dilaurentis. If it sounds confusing, don't stress: it is. Everything's basically a huge mess in Rosewood, and we can trust no one -- especially Mr. Fitz, a man who, lest you forget, stalked Aria and her friends via camera to "research" his "book" a few years back. Nope, we will never let that go.
Charles Dilaurentis' Identity Is Revealed, Things Get Weird
Speaking of stalkers, Ezra is super worried about Aria post-kidnapping, so he decides to help a home girl out and encourages her to ditch school so she can research Andrew (you'd think as a former teacher he'd care more about her grades, but whatever). Thanks to Ezra's #StalkerSkills, he easily finds out that Andrew was adopted -- which mean he could be a Dilaurentis in disguise!

Born August 22, 1862 in St.-Germaine-en-Laye, France, Claude-Achille Debussy was a child prodigy pianist who was admitted to the Paris Conservatory at age 10. Now generally considered to have been the greatest French composer, Debussy is proof that great art can come from terrible human beings. He was supremely self-centered and selfish. Two women -- one his wife -- attempted to kill themselves after he ended his relationships with them in cruelly casual fashion; his behavior was so beyond acceptable norms, even by bohemian French standards, that many of his friends turned their backs on him. In the midst of his greatest personal controversy, when he'd left his wife for a married woman and moved with the latter to England for awhile after to escape the constant recriminations, he wrote his biggest masterpiece, La Mer.
But, of course, there's nothing the French enjoy more than a controversy. Debussy's music was controversial as well.

John Severin, Eisner Hall of Fame winner and one of the last of the legendary EC artists, died Sunday in Denver, Colorado. He was 90.
Severin was among the greatest draftsmen of the EC crew. He was especially well known for his western comics and war comics, but worked across many genres, including a 45 year stint drawing for Cracked magazine, doing numerous parodies and creating the definitive version of the company mascot, janitor Sylvester P. Smythe.
In recent years he had continued to work, with his last new material coming from Dark Horse last year on Sir Edward Grey: Witchfinder.
His family has released a statement:

Tree Of Life (20th Century Fox) Terrence Malick’s latest effort is both the best film of 2011 and the finest work of his (arguably) mixed, but often masterly canon. A series of vignettes, mostly set in 1950s Texas, capture the memory of a man (Sean Penn) in present-day New York who looks back on his life, and his parents’ (Brad Pitt, Jessica Chastain) troubled marriage, when word of his younger brother’s suicide reaches him. Almost indescribable beyond that, except to say no other film in history so perfectly evokes the magic and mystery of the human memory, which both crystalizes (and sometimes idealizes) the past. Like Stanley Kubrick’s 2001, this is a challenging, polarizing work that you must let wash over you. If you go along for the ride, you’re in for a unique, rewarding cinematic experience. Also available on Blu-ray disc.

Rep. Giffords' brother-in-law Scott Kelly has been in orbit since October. He tells Peter J. Boyer about how he heard of the shooting, his twin's return to space, and Nasa's new shine.
When astronaut Scott Kelly blasted into orbit last October, bound for a six-month stint aboard the International Space Station, among the items he brought with him were two books, tales of heroic sojourners overcoming dire peril far from home. One of the volumes was Slavomir Rawicz's The Long Walk, the story of a Polish cavalry officer's escape from the Soviet gulag in Siberia, and his 2,000-mile trek to freedom in British India. The other was South, Sir Ernest Shackleton's classic memoir of disaster, and escape, on an Antarctic expedition in 1915. Life aboard the space station seemed almost a dull routine in comparison.

With rumours flying around about who’s in line to play the Man of Steel, here are five actors we think could be perfect for the role of Superman…
The casting for the new Superman film has been discussed ever since Christopher Nolan announced he would be 'overseeing its production'. Since then, names have been bandied around such as Zachary Levi (Chuck) and John Hamm (Mad Men), but both have seemingly turned out to be false.
Casting Superman is a tricky task, as not only do you need an actor that can pull of the Man of Steel look, but you also need someone who can be the mild-mannered alter ego, Clark Kent.
Brandon Routh managed to do a good job in the last film, Superman Returns, but many felt it was too much of a tribute to Christopher Reeve. Despite a measure of fan support, it is unlikely Routh will return to the role,...

The Writers Guild of America honored The Hurt Locker and Up in the Air at their ceremony on Saturday night, firmly establishing the films as front-runners in their respective Oscar categories.
Mark Boal certainly deserves the accolades after embedding himself with an Explosive Ordnance Disposal team in Baghdad in 2004 and turning his journalist findings into a dramatic original screenplay. In his speech Boal thanked director Kathryn Bigelow for supporting “an unpopular story about an unpopular war that has now lasted twice as long as WWII with no end in sight.”
Jason Reitman and Sheldon Turner picked up the prize for their adaptation of Walter Kirn’s novel, and Mark Monroe won for the moving documentary The Cove.
The WGA Awards are a somewhat reliable indicator of the Academy Awards. ”Original Screenplay” has matched 10 out of the last 15 years, and “Adapted” has lined up 11 of 15, including Milk and Slumdog Millionaire last year.

As hard as it may be to believe sometimes, someone (or someones) actually sits down and writes a movie or TV show before you end up seeing it at your local multiplex or on your favorite TV network. The people who do the sitting and the writing are, surprisingly, called writers and, like the Directors, the Golden Globes and the Oscars, they have their own awards show.
This week, the Writers Guild of America, which is the trade group and advocate for writers, announced its nominations for outstanding achievement in feature film and television, radio, news, promotional writing, and graphic animation during the 2009 season to be honored at the upcoming 2010 Writers Guild Awards on February 20, 2010, in Los Angeles and New York.
We realize that these nominations may not be as glamorous as the Golden Globes or the Oscars, but we kinda like writers around here and think they do a pretty important job.

Awards heavyweights "Mad Men," "30 Rock" and "The Office" and buzzed-about newcomer "Modern Family" led the TV field for the 2010 Writers Guild Awards with three nominations each.
AMC's "Mad Men" and NBC's "30 Rock" and "The Office" are in the running for best drama/comedy series, and each received two nominations for episodic writing. "Family" made the cut for best comedy series, best new series and best episodic writing for a comedy series.
ABC's "Family" was one of two new shows to break into the best series categories along with Fox's quirky high-school dramedy "Glee," which faces "Family" in the best comedy series and best new series fields.
While the WGA Awards are still in its nomination phase, Fox's "The Simpsons" can already uncork the champagne. The veteran series is assured to win the animation category after landing all five nomination slots.
