- Thierry Henry was born on August 17, 1977 in Les Ulis, Essonne, Île-de-France, France as Thierry Daniel Henry. As a footballer, Henry is one of the most successful, talented, and beloved players of all time. He is France's highest-ever international goalscorer and second-highest appearance maker with 123 caps and 51 goals. He was part of the France team that won the 1998 World Cup, UEFA Euro 2000, and the 2003 Confederations Cup, winning both the Golden Boot and Golden Shoe in the Confederations Cup win. Considered one of the best strikers of all-time, Henry made his professional debut with A.S. Monaco F.C. in 1994, where good form led to an international call-up in 1998, after which he signed for defending Serie A champions Juventus F.C..
It was at Arsenal F.C. that Henry made his name as a world-class player. Under long-time mentor and coach Arsène Wenger, Henry became a prolific striker and Arsenal's all-time leading scorer with 228 goals in all competitions.
