Dead List
Stars: Holden Andrews, Nick Bandera, Lauren Compise, Erin Darling, Alixzandra Dove, Josh Eichenbaum, Matt Fowler, Lindsey Grubbs, Rob Healy, Alexandra Corin Johnston, Eric Pierce, Alexandra Costa, Brad Gage | Written and Directed by Holden Andrews, Ivan Asen, Victor Mathieu
Age: Released in 2018
Appearance: Straight to VOD anthology horror film. Occasionally wonky, sometimes amateurish but never ever boring. Some decent gore and a few laughs along the way.
Death Note. I mean Dead List!
Cool! I love horror anthologies! Creep Show, Asylum, Cat’s Eye…
It doesn’t quite reach those dizzying heights.
Ah, more like Tales from the Crapper than Tales from the Crypt then?
I wouldn’t say that either. It does have low production values and sometimes feels like a home movie, which might put some people off but if you stick with it, you will find a fun ride that is both creative and charming.

Whether its official, teasing or an underhanded way of testing the market to see how much interest there is out there studios, producers and filmmakers love to stir the pot. Despite 'The Evil Dead's Bruce Campbell verbally reaffirming the development of 'Army of Darkness 2' a couple of weeks ago at the Wizard World Nashville Comic Con the actor has since been speaking with Erin Darling at Comikaze and told her 'It's all Internet b.s. - there's no reality whatsoever. These random comments slip out of my mouth or Sam Raimi's mouth, next thing you know, we're making a sequel'. So just what the hell is going on?...

There's been quotes from various conventions over the year, with the likes of producer Rob Tapert, remake helmer Fede Alvarez, and star Bruce Campbell all directly hinting that an "Army of Darkness 2" is in the works.
Today, all that talk has been emphatically dismissed by Campbell who tells Erin Darling:
"It's all Internet B.S. - there's no reality whatsoever. These random comments slip out of either my mouth or Sam Raimi's mouth, next thing you know, we're making a sequel.
So, unless you have an announcement from Renaisssance Pictures - it's not real. Or unless you have a start date, or a release date.
We do appreciate people's enthusiasm for another 'Army of Darkness,' but they should just wait until it's real."
Darling also asked about the Fede Alvarez is he in or out of the reboot's sequel "Evil Dead 2", and Campbell says Alvarez...

This past weekend, Erin Darling interviewed Bruce Campbell at Comikaze in Los Angeles. When Erin inquired about the new Army of Darkness 2 rumors, Campbell immediately douses them with cold water. "It's all Internet b.s. - there's no reality whatsoever. These random comments slip out of my mouth or Sam Raimi's mouth, next thing you know, we're making a sequel." As a reminder, Campbell and the rest of the Evil Dead gang have been hinting at a cross-over film between Ash and Mia while they were all promoting Fede Alvarez's Evil Dead remake. A couple weeks ago at Wizard World Nashville, a fan in attendance asked Campbell if he would reprise his role as Ash for Army of Darkness 2 and he replied, "Alright sir, the answer is yes." About a week after that, Fede was asked on Twitter if he would direct Army of Darkness 2, and he said no,...

It began with Rob Tapert. The producer of the Evil Dead films hinted at an Army of Darkness 2 back in March when he was asked about the prospect of another entry in the Sam Raimi-directed series. He stated the film - if there ever was another one - would not be Evil Dead 4, but Army of Darkness 2. This set off a firestorm of rumors and hopeful rumblings that we might see Bruce Campbell play Ash one more time.
Later, at WonderCon, Evil Dead remake helmer Fede Alvarez and Campbell teased sequels, Army of Darkness 2 and a cross-over film.
But now, in spite of Campbell being quoted at a convention confirming AoD2 is in the works, now says it's all bullshit.

As I'm sure you'll have noticed, we've been posting some of The Schmoes Know reviews on the site for a while now. Mark and Kristian are huge comic book movie fans and their vids went down so well with you CBMers that we've teamed up to become an official sponsor of their podcast and relevant film reviews. Below you can listen to (and watch!) last night's show with special guests; TV host Erin Darling and Freaks And Geeks/Inglorious Basterds actor Samm Levine. The whole show is well worth a listen of course, but the D23 stuff comes in around the 30 minute mark..and immediately following that the guys discuss their favorite ever sci-fi movies so a lot of you will want to stick around for that.
