Danielle Harris is none too pleased about David Gordan Green’s decision to retcon her Jamie Lloyd (and Annie Brackett!) out of the Halloween series.
Early last month, the series veteran – Harris has notched four appearances opposite the relentless Michael Myers – posted a frank assessment of 2018’s hotly-anticipated reboot, which is expected to ignore all other instalments save for John Carpenter’s iconic, spine-chilling original.
Currently out promoting Inoperable, Danielle Harris has now offered more thoughts on Jamie Llyod being left out in the cold, and why she’s still hopeful that her fan-favorite will make a return in the not-so-distant future – you know, providing Green’s revival isn’t remember as the final Halloween.
Here’s what the actress had to say to Birth.Movies.Death:
They keep saying this is Halloween 3 and they’re never going to make another one. But somewhere along the way, if they make...

You may know her as Jamie Lloyd or Annie Brackett from the Halloween franchise, but right now actress and filmmaker Danielle Harris is providing viewers with another enthralling performance with her role as Amy Barrett in Christopher Lawrence Chapman's new film, Inoperable. A mind-bending experience that blends psychological Twilight Zone-esque scares with gory hospital horror, Inoperable is out now in select theaters from Zorya Films and Millman Productions, and Daily Dead recently had the great pleasure of speaking with Harris about her unique new role and the ambitious approach to filming Inoperable, and she also shared her hopes for the future of the Halloween franchise.
Hi Danielle, and congratulations on Inoperable. It feels like a mix of Groundhog Day and The Twilight Zone, but it still has its own personality. Watching it for the first time was such a mind-bending experience, so what was it like when you...

The introduction of the Apocalypse World in Supernatural's season 12 finale promised (or at least hinted at) introducing new versions of returning characters. In "The Rising Son" the first newish face arrived in the form of an alternate Michael. While the episode left the future of the apocalyptic Michael uncertain, hopefully Supernatural plans to follow through on the hints they dropped and bring Michael back to the "real world."...

Was that the best episode of Scandal, like, ever?
On Scandal Season 6 Episode 11, Mellie got her way and became the President of the United States, a mere few scenes after Liz had her skull cracked by Samantha.
It was great. I wish I could say I was shocked by Liz's death, but the revelation that she was working with Peus sealed her fate.
I did not expect her to go in the first scene with Peus, but I was wondering what Samantha was doing behind her.
Liz proved earlier on Scandal Season 6 that she was willing to go wherever there was power.
If you watch Scandal online, you will already know that she's been an opportunist all along.
At least Portia De Rossi can say she got one of the most brutal deaths in Scandal history.
Elsewhere, the recent events have made Olivia think about all the wrong things she...

Float float and some funny marks on your bum when you get up A post shared by Kate Beckinsale (@katebeckinsale) on Apr 10, 2017 at 12:58am Pdt Move over, Reese Witherspoon and Ava Phillippe - there's a new mother-daughter look-alike in town. On Monday, Kate Beckinsale and her daughter Lily, 18, showed off their stunning similarities with a few Instagram photos. The two, who are currently enjoying a tropical vacation somewhere under the sun, posted bikini snaps within hours of each other. While Kate shared a photo of herself lounging in a red and white bikini, Lily stole her thunder a few hours later by sharing a gorgeous photo of herself standing on the beach in a similar suit. The stunning actress, 43, then posted a bikini selfie while poking fun at the painting behind her, writing, "Successfully completed the holiday Rorschach test without seeing a penis or my mother." This isn't the first time Kate,...

An honest Cage gets caught up in an offbeat thriller.“Adios, Red Rock.”
As we celebrate Texas Week here at Fsr I knew I wanted to make sure this week’s Tao of Cage had a little Texas twang. Unfortunately I do very little planning in advance and hardly ever think things through. Last week I wrote about Joe, which would have been the perfect choice for Texas Week. Joe isn’t just Nicolas Cage’s most Texas movie but I do believe it’s his only movie that actually takes place in Texas. Go figure.
There may not be another Cage movie that take place in Texas but in 1992 Cage did play a drifter from Texas. This week we’re talking Red Rock West!
In this offbeat thriller Cage stars as Michael Williams, a former Marine from Odessa now looking for work in Wyoming. A friend gives him a tip about a job opportunity on an...

It's Klaus versus everyone else in this week's episode of Vampire Diaries spin-off, The Originals...
This review contains spoilers.
2.19 When The Levee Breaks
There's a reason shows don't ordinarily choose to focus on a protagonist whose main character trait is to be unchanging. Putting a character like Klaus at the centre of The Originals can easily force the show into a corner as frustrating and stubborn as its protagonist – it's the trouble with attempting character development with a group of ancient, unyielding immortals facing up to the same issues again and again.
That's why I usually prefer it when The Originals uses outside forces as antagonists, rather than members of the core Mikaelson family, but when those outside forces affect the dynamics of that family, it's the perfect balance of everything the show has to offer. Dahlia's threat to Hope and Klaus' distrust of Freya is what was promised way...

And there you have it. In the first hour of The Originals' second season, not only did fans watch as Francesca and the Guerrera wolves met their maker, but we also caught up with every member of the Original family. Every. member. Talk about a welcome back to the world of New Orleans. We chatted with Phoebe Tonkin and executive producer Michael Narducci all about the premiere and what comes next: First things first, after four months of driving Francesca crazy with their inaction, the Original family finally got their revenge, and Hayley ended up getting to do the honors.

Monday’s season premiere of The Originals witnessed a major power shift in New Orleans, as old enemies were pushed aside and even older enemies returned to settle their scores.

The Originals started as a show about three siblings, a thousand years of family history, and Klaus' desire to regain control of New Orleans. But in season two, there are more Originals than ever, and Klaus is less about the city and more about revenge. "This is about trying to clean up [season one's] mess and the hope that they can create an environment where they can bring their child home," executive producer Julie Plec said. "Only what they do not yet realize in the beginning is that the new mess is in the form of their old family." Quickly, Klaus' revenge...

When we left New Orleans, things were not looking good for the Original family. Not only was Hope gone, but Mikael back was, along with Esther and a mystery son. Plus, Francesca seemed to think she was “running things.” But if season 1 taught us anything, it’s that Klaus isn’t one to lose a fight and not kill somebody because of it.
In the first photos from the season 2 premiere, we get a glimpse at Ester and Finn(?) roaming the town, as well as a look at new hybrid Hayley, who’s hopefully getting a little guidance from the Original Hybrid.

This review contains spoilers.
5.20 What Lies Beneath
Secrets. The Vampire Diaries is a show built on secrets – what the characters aren’t telling us, what salacious flashbacks have yet to be mined for present-day parallel and what each corner of each of the numerous love triangles is actually feeling at any one time. This week’s episode, What Lies Beneath, was an episode that addressed these secrets and, as a handy by-product, actually provided some relief to the audience. There’s only so long we can watch Caroline pine after Stefan, or Stefan and Elena keep the fate of Enzo under wraps, before everyone needs to sit down and discuss things.

Review Caroline Preece 7 Mar 2014 - 05:04
This week's flashback episode of The Originals feels a bit pointless, says Caroline...
If only they didn’t kill off Mikael on The Vampire Diaries, the writers of this originals-focused spin-off must be thinking. If only he hadn’t been a largely throwaway villain on a show not wholly preoccupied with Klaus and his daddy issues, and The Originals could bring him back to wreak havoc on their lives all over again. Without him, they’re instead reliant on flashbacks and decades-old betrayals and, despite the best efforts of our three leads that really isn’t as good. Maybe they can bring Mikael back to life, Darla on Angel-style?
In Le Grand Guignol, however, we do at least witness that much-discussed seminal moment in which the family were driven out of New Orleans for the first time. Is the rebooted Mikael any more threatening?...
