Lionsgate+, formerly known as Starzplay, has set March 3 as the premiere date of its darkly comic original series ‘Nacho’ across all Latin America.
The news comes as Atresplayer Premium in Spain has announced that “Nacho” will bow on its service on March 5 as an Atresplayer Premium Original, in other words an exclusive in Spain on the adventurous service whose recent Originals include “Cardo,” produced by Los Javis.
Bowing its international trailer exclusively on Variety, the eight-episode series stars Martiño Rivas (“Cable Girls”) who plays the legendary Nacho Vidal whose notable physique makes him a star in Spain’s incipient porn industry in the ‘90s.
“Proving his talents reach far beyond his most infamous 25 cm [9.8 inches], Nacho changed the rules of the game in the 1990s when he became an international superstar,” the synopsis goes.

Madrid — Rolling off the success of “El Pueblo” on both Spain’s Amazon Prime Video and Telecinco, the main commercial channel of top Spanish broadcast network Mediaset España, the U.S. online giant has clinched pay/TV and Svod rights to four Mediaset España dramas and two docu series.
The deal was sealed between Amazon Prime Video and Mediterráneo Mediaset España Group, the broadcaster’s sales and distribution arm.
Announced Tuesday in Madrid, the agreement takes in the second season of rural relocation comedy series “El Pueblo,” whose Season 1 bowed May 14 last year on Amazon Prime Video, and then on Jan. 15 on Telecinco, to buoyant audience results.
“El Pueblo” turns on a group of urbanites who flee the city for different reasons – existential and economic crisis, need for fresh air, search for peace, inspiration to compose – and the conflict in the way of living between them and their new rural neighbors.

Binge-watching is a blessing and a curse. If you're like us, you've already finished all 10 episodes of the Velvet spin-off Velvet Collection way too quickly. However, don't despair because to help with those withdrawals, the stars of the Spanish show are taking fans behind the scenes as they film the highly anticipated Season 2. Marta Hazas, who plays Clara Montesinos on the series, recently shared a photo alongside Diego Martin (Enrique) and new addition Marta Torne (Paloma) on her Instagram page. "We have already started shooting the second season of Velvet Collection," she wrote. Adrian Lastra (Pedro Infantes) also shared his excitement about the renewal, and thanked fans on the social media platform. "It makes us happy to know that Velvet Collection is loved so much around the world thanks to Netflix," he captioned a fun photo with castmate Javier Rey (Mateo Ruiz) on his shoulders. We live in age of images, from Instagram to SnapChat, from the visuals of big screen spectacles to the intimacy of small screen dramas, to even the photos we carry around in our pockets on our phone. But what if one image took hold and you couldn't let go? Written and directed by Luiso Berdejo, and starring Junio Valverde, Leticia Dolera, Miriam Giovanelli, Ricardo Darín, Carlos Bardem, and Erik Palladino, the film follows Alex, living in Santa Monica, California, who one day finds a Polaroid picture of beautiful girl and promptly falls madly in love with her. He determines to track her down and soon begins a journey that will forge a connection with his deceased grandfather, while also taking Alex to the depths of his soul. In this exclusive clip, we get a nice sense of the nervy tone of the film, as well as the visual approach, which finds Berdejo mixing media.

The 49th Annual Chicago International Film Festival comes to a close tonight, but not without some special discoveries to be seen. I was lucky enough to catch the latest film from the Coen Brothers, Inside Llewyn Davis, and was glad I took a chance on Wolfskinder, a worthy nominee in the “New Directors Competition.” After hearing Jeff Bayer and Eric D. Snider joke about Dracula 3D at Cannes 2012, I finally got to witness its craptitude with my own eyes. Reviews for the films are below.
Working the festival beat, I also partook in some interviews ready in the near future, including chats with David Frankel (director of The Devil Wears Prada and now the Paul Potts biopic One Chance), and the Polsky Brothers for The Motel Life, starring Stephen Dorff and Emile Hirsch. If all goes right tomorrow, I will also have an interview with Oscar Isaac for Inside Llewyn Davis.

Italian horror maestro Dario Argento is returning to the genre that he’s permanently put a stamp on with his own take on the most famous of vampires in… Dracula 3D. The man who sent chills down our spine with classics like Deep Red, Suspiria, Tenebrae, and several others, Argento dominated the realm of gialli pictures, thanks to their intense colors, style, blood, and distinct music.

Dario Argento's 'Dracula 3D' hit VOD in the Us towards the end of last week and in case you haven't sunk your teeth into the Italian production just yet perhaps this new, and quite bizarre, red band trailer hot from the distributor IFC Midnight. This reimagination of the classic gothic tale, as unnecessary as it is, looks like an odd little feature and this new trailer which features a giant praying mantis and Hammer-esque special effects does little too enthuse me further. 'Dracula 3D' stars Thomas Kretschmann as the fanged one along with fellow co-stars, Marta Gastini, the sexy Asia Argento (below), Unax Ugalde, Miriam Giovanelli and Rutger Hauer ('Hobo with a Shotgun'). I’m not going to pretend that Dracula 3D is going to be a blockbuster or an Oscar contender, but there is a place for the B sci-fi movie that embraces its B-ness. And I really get a kick out of a good B vampire movie now and again. As long as you go into this movie prepared I think it will be highly enjoyable.

Back in 2009 there seemed to be a real sense of excitement and anticipation from horror fans who were itching to see Dario Argento’s latest, the portentously entitled Giallo. Then the film screened. It was met with derision, laughter and waves of disappointment and it struggled to find a release in some territories, not helped by a legal case surrounding money owed to its star, Adrien Brody.
Giallo was a huge disappointment for fans of the iconic Italian director who brought the world such classics as Profondo Rosso and The Bird with the Crystal Plumage and so when it was announced that Argento would next be tackling Dracula, and in 3D, fans seemed a little cautious about getting too optimistic.
An early sales trailer, with unfinished effects, and then a bona-fide release trailer turned cautious optimism into pessimism and a sense that maybe Argento had not only lost his edge but perhaps his mind.

Sitting in a theater watching a fair few people walk out in protest at the poor quality of Dracula 3D, you have to wonder whether they knew anything about horror legend Dario Argento, and if so what exactly they expected from the director whose name alone guarantees an audience. Because Argento has a certain set of skills, which aren’t necessarily reconcilable with what is great about film these days, but to give due credit, he hasn’t really deviated from the same tracks for decades, and the result is generally an entertaining affair all the same. This time out he’s taken the iconic Dracula story on, giving horror’s most famous character (played here by Thomas Kretschmann) his first 3D treatment, and adding a few other brand new touches to the iconic story of how the Count tricked Jonathan Harker (Unax Ugalde) into working for him in order to take his wife Mina (Marta Gastini) for...

The first true trailer for Dario Argento's Dracula 3D is here and it looks ... well ... there's owls, wolves, vampires and his lovely daughter, Asia. Just how well all of these components put together will fare is completely up for debate.
Dracula 3D features Asia Argento as Lucy, Thomas Kretschmann as Dracula, Marta Gastini as Mina, and Rutger Hauer as Van Helsing. Miguel Angel Silvestre and Miriam Giovanelli also star.

I can't really say I was expecting much, but the trailer for Dario Argento's Dracula 3D doesn't have me interested in the slightest. Lame CG effects are one thing, but I don't see anything that would make me think Argento was coming at this age old story with anything other than the 3D gimmick. Starring Thomas Kretschmann as Dracula, Asia Argento, Marta Gastini, Unax Ugalde, Miriam Giovanelli and Rutger Hauer as Van Helsing, the film appears to be no more than the traditional take on Bram Stoker's "Dracula" with awful CG effects and very lame line-reading. The pic is set to be screened as part of the Midnight selection at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival and will have its first screenings on Sunday, May 20, but I can't really say I'm going to make it a priority. I have a feeling it would be more fun to walk around the...

Here's the first footage that we've seen for Dario Argento's new film Dracula 3D. This isn't really a trailer as much as it is just a montage of footage from the movie. Argento has made some great films over the years and I'm a big fan of the Italian directors earlier work. I am curious to see his full take on the Bram Stoker classic.
The film stars Marta Gastini (The Rite), Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner, Hobo With a Shotgun), Asia Argento (Land of the Dead), Miguel Angel Silvestre and Miriam Giovanelli.
The trailer has a great deal of footage that includes some Major Spoilers. The teaser trailer also includes a lot of unfinished effects, but it's got Argentos signature all over it. There's some fun stuff shown in the trailer, and I'm hoping the movie ends up being good, but this is just a collection of poorly cut footage.

We're staying cautiously optimistic about Dario Argento's Dracula 3D - if anyone can put the bite back into the vampire sub-genre, it's probably an old school Italian like him - so we're pleased to report principal photography has wrapped on the film.
Per Screen Daily, The Little Film Company is handling sales for North America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and Italy’s Filmexport Group is handling remaining territories. Hopefully we'll have some distro news to report soon!

Italian master of horror Dario Argento’s next movie will be Dracula 3D, starring Rutger Hauer...
It's been quite a while since we last saw a really great movie from Dario Argento. His conclusion to the Three Mothers trilogy, The Mother Of Tears lacked the manic brilliance of Suspiria and Inferno, the films it was meant to belatedly follow up.
Argento's 2009 film, Giallo, saw the director return to his pulpy, horror thriller roots, though again, it couldn't match the gruesome creativity of his earlier genre efforts, such as Tenebrae or Deep Red.
There's a new possibility, though, that Argento's next movie could see him recapture the verve of his earlier work. Announced in March, Dracula 3D sounds like almost too perfect to be true: one of horror's directing legends let loose on the most famous vampire tale of all. And to top it off, Rutger Hauer's starring in it.

It’s no secret around Dtb that I am a huge fan of Dario Argento. Though I will completely admit that his recent films are huge disappointments on so many levels, I still hold hope that the Italian maestro of horror has at least one great film left in him. Is Dracula 3D going to be that film . . . I hope . . . because Argento isn’t getting any younger. Though I would have loved if the director had tackled a more original subject, I do feel that Argento’s visual style and “roving camera” (think the great crane shot in Tenebre) will translate really well with the 3D technology. Continue reading to get a taste of the bloody story that will be exhibited in the upcoming film.

No matter how you slice it, Dario Argento is in serious need of a good movie. Over the years the master has been slipping with his flicks to the point of them not even resembling any of his previous works. It's kind of heartbreaking. Will his latest film, Dracula 3D, have enough bite to get things on track?
We'll find out soon enough. Below you'll find some fresh sales art and an impossibly long plot crunch.

Italian horror thriller director Dario Argento has been planning his next film Dracula 3D which is another adaptation of the classic novel by Bram Stoker. It was announced today that Marta Gastini (The Rite), Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner, Hobo With a Shotgun), Asia Argento (Land of the Dead), Miguel Angel Silvestre and Miriam Giovanelli will all star in the film.
I love some Argento's earlier film work like Suspiria, but most of the films he's made these days have unfortunately been pretty terrible. I would love to see him make another great film, but we've seen so many different Dracula interpretations over the years already, that I'm not really that excited about it. Just because it will be in 3D doesn't mean it's going to be good.
Here we have a movie poster and full detailed synopsis of the film for you to check out.
