Mazyar was born on August 19, 1984. His father, Manoochehr, had an extensive collection of classical films and music albums that spanned various genres. This sparked Mazyar's profound interest in film scoring. At the age of 9, he started studying piano and after 11 years of hard work, he achieved remarkable success. In 2007, he won First Place in two categories: piano performance and composition, at "The 4th Student Music Festival". He then began to write music for short films, animations, and advertisements. Mazyar continued his education by earning a master's degree in classical composition from The Art University of Tehran, graduating with distinction. His concert piece "Concerto for Vibraphone, Piano, and Percussions" secured First Place at the "SABA Music Festival" in 2017.
He furthered his dedication to his craft by attending master courses and serving as a jury member at various music festivals. He also participated in The Film Scoring Program held by The Film Scoring Academy of Europe, under the supervision of Christopher Young in 2019. Mazyar pursued advanced academic endeavors at the university level and successfully completed his second master's degree in film scoring at the National Film and Television School (NFTS) in 2022.
