Paris-based digital media company Brut, which creates socially-conscious videos targeting Gen Z and millennial viewers, has raised a seismic $75 million Series C funding round.
The round featured participation from James Murdoch’s investment firm Lupa Systems, luxury executive François-Henri Pinault’s Artemis holding company, Orange Ventures (the Vc arm of the French telecom giant), Tikehau Capital, and existing investor Alfred Vericel of tech investment firm Red River West, The Hollywood Reporter reports.
Four-year-old Brut says the funding will be used to accelerate expansion into the U.S., India, and Africa, and diversify its content offer, which focuses on social issues like gender, inclusion, feminism, the environment, race, entertainment, and health, according to the Reporter.
