Peacock has shared the first look at its new upcoming comedy series “Killing It,” streaming this April.
Created by “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” producers Dan Goor and Luke Del Tredici, “Killing It” stars Craig Robinson as Craig, a man who competes in a state-sponsored python hunt in his quest to achieve the American Dream. The series co-stars Stephanie Nogueras as Craig’s ex-wife Camille, Jet Miller as his pre-teen daughter Vanessa and Rell Battle as his younger brother Isaiah. Claudia O’Doherty, Scott Macarthur and Wyatt Walter round out the cast.
“We love all the ambitious, challenging, thematically-rich series that populate the current peak-tv landscape,” said Goor in a statement. “We also love jokes. So, we tried to make a show that could deliver both. We wanted ‘Killing It’ to explore America’s quasi-religious obsession with entrepreneurship and wealth, and we also wanted it to be funny. Really, really funny. Plus, we wanted it to have big snakes.

Exclusive: Demi Moore, Craig Robinson, Paul Walter Hauser, and Peter Stormare are among the first to be set for the pandemic-themed thriller Songbird. Deadline revealed last month that Songbird would be shot in Los Angeles, one of the first films to begin production.
The film was set up by Adam Goodman and Andrew Sugerman Invisible Narratives in partnership with Catchlight Studios and Michael Bay. Adam Mason (Into The Dark) is directing a script he co-wrote with Simon Boyes. Production will utilize strict social distancing practices and innovative techniques that will allow for shooting to begin imminently. The filmmakers are providing remote training for the actors. ICM Partners and Endeavor Content are repping sales at Virtual Cannes and they have prepared a proof of concept presentation. This cast certainly will help find a home for the modestly budgeted film.

Fox has officially ghosted on “Ghosted” after just one season.
The Adam Scott and Craig Robinson-led comedy from creator Tom Gormican has been canceled by the broadcast network, less than a week after airing its first season finale — which will now be its last.
An individual with knowledge of the decision tells TheWrap that, while the network was “proud of the show,” the addition of “Thursday Night Football,” as well as new comedies on Fridays and Sundays, and the large amount of returning shows next season, Fox’s schedule couldn’t accommodate a second season of “Ghosted.” However, a few unaired episodes from the first season may still become available for viewing at a later date.

Is “Ghosted” coming back?
That’s a question on viewers’ minds as upfronts week comes to a close, with Fox, ABC, NBC, CBS and The CW all having announced their fall programming schedules as of Thursday. ‘Cause some of those slates have holes in them, meaning the statuses of almost half a dozen shows on broadcast television are still up in the air.
Look, we can accept the fact that not every series will be saved like “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” — not every show should be. But come on, networks — minus ABC and The CW, who have already killed or renewed everything they’re going to — fans need to hear one way or another whether their favorite programs will be returning this fall, especially for ones that have a crazy-devoted fanbase.

An “X-Files”-style comedy? It’s not too good to be true, and it will be shooting in Los Angeles! “Ghosted,” which stars “Parks & Recreation” favorite Adam Scott and perpetual scene-stealer Craig Robinson, has received a series order from Fox. One of this past pilot season’s hottest commodities, the single-camera project comes courtesy of writer Tom Gormican (“That Awkward Moment”), and will depict Scott as a “true believer” of the paranormal and Robinson, his skeptical counterpart, recruited by the Bureau Underground to investigate “unexplained” events happening in L.A., which may pose a threat to the human race. Greenstein/Daniel Casting, credited with casting TV Land’s Betty White-starrer “Hot in Cleveland,” is heading up casting duties. Both Scott and Robinson will pull double duty as executive producers, along with Gormican, Mark Schulman, Oly Obst, as well as showrunner Kevin Etten (“Workaholics,” “Scrubs”). Updated: Another NBC pilot that narrowly missed the cut to series is staying alive. I’ve learned that the network has extended the options on the entire cast of the untitled Craig Robinson pilot, which I hear also is getting an order for three additional scripts. The project, written by Owen Ellickson, centers around a talented musician (Robinson) who adjusts to his new life as a middle school music teacher, where he maneuvers precocious kids, teacher politics, and the temptations of single moms. The cast of the pilot, from Universal TV, Deedle-Dee Prods and 3 Arts, also includes Larenz Tate, Amanda Lund and Jean Smart. Ellickson is executive producing with Greg Daniels, Tracy Katsky, Gabe Miller and Jonathan Green, who helped rewrite the pilot script, Howard Klein and Mark Schulman. Robinson serves as producer. The Craig Robinson pilot joins fellow NBC/Uni TV comedy pilot Assistance, which recently received an order...

NBC is trying to keep at least some of "The Office" family in the fold after the show ends.
Craig Robinson, who plays warehouse manager Darryl Philbin on the show, is teaming up with "Office" executive producer Greg Daniels and writer Owen Ellickson for a comedy pilot. Robinson will play a musician who gets a job teaching music at a middle school (Robinson himself is a proficient piano player).
Ellickson, who's also worked on "The King of Queens" and "Friends With Benefits," is writing the pilot and executive producing with Daniels, Tracy Katsky, Howard Klein and Mark Schulman. Robinson will have a producer credit.
Other pilot pickups and castings:
- CBS has greenlit a comedy pilot based on the movie "Bad Teacher." Hillary Winston ("Community," "Happy Endings") is writing it, and the movie's writers, Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, are among the executive producers.
- Also at CBS, drama pilot...

Tracy Katsky, Howard Klein and Mark Schulman will also executive produce the single-camera comedy, which Robinson will produce. The story revolves around Robinson's character adjusting to precocious kids, teaching politics, and the temptations of single moms. On Friday, NBC ordered another comedy executive produced by Daniels, Katsky, and Klein. The untitled...

NBC has given the green light to a single-camera comedy from The Office developer/executive producer Greg Daniels starring The Office regular Craig Robinson and written by the show’s supervising producer Owen Ellickson. The untitled project centers on a talented musician (Robinson) with rough edges who adjusts to his new life as a music teacher in a big-city middle school, where he encounters teacher politics and the temptations of single moms. The comedy hails from Universal TV, Daniels’ Deedle Dee Prods and 3 Arts Entertainment. Ellickson, Daniels, Deedle Dee’s Tracy Katsky and 3 Arts’ Howard Klein and Mark Schulman executive produce, with Robinson serving as producer. This marks the second pilot order at NBC for Daniels and his Deedle Dee, joining an untitled half-hour written by another Office writer, Robert Padnick.
