A truck carrying equipment to Metallica’s Montreal shows was involved in a serious accident on a highway near Lake George, New York, this week. While the wreckage was significant, it appears there were no major injuries and that the band’s Friday (August 11th) and Sunday (August 13th) concerts in Montreal will go on as planned.
Canadian rock journalist Mitch Lafon shared images of the crash from a person named John Kish on Facebook (see below). The accident appeared to involve one of Metallica’s semi-trailers and another trailer hauling a car carrier filled with vehicles. The extent of the damage was further evident in video footage posted by TikTok user @sammiebaby966 (also below).
According to The Rock Revival, in response to Lafon’s post, a comment from Mat Paré, believed to be part of the local Montreal crew working on the Metallica shows, reported, “Some brackets for moving lights were destroyed,...

Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry recently revealed that Aerosmith were going on tour later this year, and it looks like the outing might be their last.
The band has posted a countdown clock on its website leading up to Monday (May 1st) at 10 a.m. Et. Meanwhile, ad banners have begun to appear at venues like the Td Garden in Boston and the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, displaying the Aerosmith logo and the text “Peace Out.”
All signs point to an official farewell tour announcement on Monday when the countdown hits zero. Last week, we reported on Perry’s comments revealing that the band plans to tour from September into next year, but he made no mention of it being a farewell jaunt.
“I don’t know if I’m not supposed to announce it or not, but we are gonna announce the tour, and it’s gonna start in...

Concert attendees in 1970 must have been checking their Led Zeppelin tickets when they arrived at a concert being performed by the Nobs. The audience had not made a mistake, as it was the same band. However, on Feb. 28, 1970, Led Zeppelin had to change their name to the Nobs for a concert in Copenhagen, Denmark, to avoid a lawsuit.
Led Zeppelin was under threat of being sued Robert Plant and Jimmy Page | Jorgen Angel/Redferns
In early 1970, Led Zeppelin was on a tour of Europe. The band had an upcoming concert scheduled in Copenhagen, but the show hit a snag due to its name. Frau Eva Von Zeppelin, a descendant of Count Ferdinand Von Zeppelin, the inventor of the Zeppelin airships, threatened to sue the band over making money off her family name without their permission.
The band had already dealt with Eva in 1969 when they appeared on a Danish television show.
