Miley Cyrus apparently requested that her vocals be removed from a Morrissey album track.
The former Smiths frontman posted the update from his online message portal “Messages from Morrissey”.
“Miley Cyrus now wants to be taken off the song ‘I Am Veronica’ for which she volunteered backing vocals almost two years ago,” said the message posted on Christmas eve.
The news follows an update that Morrissey posted regarding his apparent departure from his Los Angeles-based label, Capitol Records.
“This comes at a time when Morrissey has disassociated himself with Capitol Records (Los Angeles), who control the hidden album Bonfire of Teenagers,” contiunued the message.
The information was posted under an image of Cyrus and Morrissey, who can be seen lying on the floor together.
“Above, Morrissey and Miley during Miley’s session for ‘I Am Veronica’,” the image is captioned.

The race to be top of the British singles chart at Christmas has been an annual event every December since 1952.
On Friday 23, LadBaby broke a record they were previously tied for with The Beatles, achieving their fifth consecutive Christmas No 1.
The Beatles had been top of the tree since 1967 with a record four Christmas number ones, although that was equalled last year when LadBaby claimed their fourth win in four years with an offering called “Sausage Rolls for Everyone”.
LadBaby have now vaulted to the top with their fifth No 1, “Food Aid”.
The Spice Girls also notched an impressive three consecutive victories in the mid-Nineties, while Sir Cliff Richard also has a hat-trick to his name.
LadBaby, Aka Mark and Roxanne Hoyle, are actually having another crack at it in 2022, with the help of ever popular money-saving guru Martin Lewis, who, rather suprisingly, is joining them for a chairty cover...

Sugababes have delighted fans by releasing an album they recorded almost eight years ago.
The pop trio consisting of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy, lost the right to record and perform as the Sugababes after a number of lineup changes in the group.
The original lineup performed between 1998 to 2001, during which time they achieved six Number 1 singles. They briefly reformed as Mks in 2013 before regaining the right to perform as the Sugababes in 2019, when they released a cover of UK garage classic “Flowers” by Sweet Female Attitude.
A successful comeback year has involved a UK headline tour and a set at Glastonbury Festival to huge crowds. They have now released a full studio album, The Lost Tapes.
“This has been a year of incredibly positive moments for us as a band. We wanted to do something to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey,...

The co-writer behind Mariah Carey’s festive hit “All I Want for Christmas is You” has claimed her story about the song is a “tall tale”.
Producer Walter Afanasieff discussed the beloved holiday tune during Thursday’s (22 December) episode of the Hot Takes & Deep Dives podcast.
Speaking to host Jess Rothschild, Afanasieff claimed that he and Carey were “on the same page” about how to write the song. However, it wasn’t until 10 years ago that an “alternate story” was shared about the songwriting process.
“When she started to hint at the fact that, ‘Oh, I wrote that song when I was a little girl!’ But why weren’t you saying that for 12 or 13 or 15 years prior to that?” he said on the podcast. “So it just sort of developed in her mind.”
Over the years, Carey has claimed to have come up with the concept of the song when she was a child.

The recent announcement of LadBaby scoring their No 1 Christmas single for the fifth consecutive year has left people enraged.
Since last week’s release of Mark and Roxanne Hoyle’s latest charity single “Food Aid”, a parody of supergroup Band Aid’s 1984 charity track “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” featuring This Morning’s money expert Martin Lewis, the LadBaby duo’s song has sold 65,000 units.
On Friday (23 December), the British duo was awarded a trophy after their newest song became the fast-selling track of 2022.
And now, not only have they become the act with the most Christmas No 1 songs in the Official Charts’ 70-year history, but this recent victory has made them the first act ever to score the honour for the fifth year running.
They had previously shared the record with The Beatles, who had earned the No 1 spot in 1963, 1964, 1965 and 1967.

LadBaby have secured the Christmas No 1 for the fifth year running, smashing UK chart records.
The duo, Mark and Roxanne Hoyle, released their latest charity single “Food Aid” last week.
A parody of Band Aid’s 1984 charity track “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” featuring This Morning’s money expert Martin Lewis, the track sold 65,000 units.
This made it the fastest selling single of 2022, while LadBaby became the act with the most Christmas No 1 singles in the Official Charts’ 70-year history.
Fifty per cent of the song profits will be going to food bank charity The Trussell Trust, while the other half will be donated to the Band Aid Trust.
Celebrating their chart-topping achievement, LadBaby told OfficialCharts.com: “I can’t quite believe it! We’re Number 1! The charity has made it five years in a row. How have we done this again?

Martin Lewis is on track to score his first ever Christmas No 1 with charity single “Food Aid”.
A collaboration with LadBaby, a duo consisting of husband and wife Mark and Roxanne Hoyle, the song is a take on “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” and was released on 16 December.
“Food Aid” is currently set to top the charts, which would mark LadBaby’s fifth consecutive No 1 Christmas song.
Lewis admitted on Twitter that although he was left “cringing a bit” by the song and video, he hopes it gives some people “a smile in these dour times”.
“My main hope is it raises awareness that sadly, terribly, far too many in the UK need food banks,” the money-saving expert said.
50 per cent of the song profits will be going to the Trussell Trust, a food bank charity, and the other half will be donated to the Band Aid Trust.

The fight for the 2022 Christmas No. 1 just got foxy! And… puppety. Children’s TV veteran Basil Brush (he of ‘boom boom’ fame) has thrown his cravat in the ring in the fight to top the festive charts by releasing Christmas single ‘Boom Boom! It’s Christmas Again’.
The full video recently premiered on Basil Brush’s YouTube channel:
The video for this nostalgia-heavy Christmas single sees Basil Brush go full Time Lord, riding a time-travelling sleigh through the years to reunite with a host of familiar faces from the world of childhood entertainers, from the 1960s to the current day.
That’s right: get ready to feel seriously old. As well as the nineties nightmare fuel otherwise known as Mr Blobby, there are appearances from Rainbow trio Bungle, George and Zippy, Treguard from Knightmare, Evil Edna from Willo the Wisp, and Muffin the Mule, who even predates Basil himself.
