The first of next year's Glasgow Film Festival events have been announced, including a Strictly Ballroom screening and dance spectacular to be held in the famous Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery. The French 1928 version of The Fall Of The House Of Usher will screen in the grand Gothic Pollokshaws Burgh Hall with a new soundtrack by Irene Buckley played live on the Wurlitzer organ. And Paul Merton will appear live in a special tribute to silent film comedy legend Buster Keaton.
The event line-up will also include the unveiling of British Sea Power's project From The Sea To The Land Beyond, with film and live music in former cinema the ABC. Renaud Garcia-Fons and his band will provide a live score for The Adventures Of Prince Achmed, while the Internet Cat Video Festival will make an appearance in the city's Gallery of Modern Art.
