- Sound Department
- Music Department
- Additional Crew
Craig's work can be heard on numerous films, including Insidious (2010), Eye in the Sky (2015), and Whiplash (2014), for which he won the Oscar for Sound Mixing and a BAFTA for Sound. From a young age, Craig was interested in sound. That interest turned into lifelong passion as he began experimenting with recording sound effects and music while in high school.
Realizing he may have found a career path he applied to the Music Engineering program, Music Industry Arts at Fanshawe College in London Ontario. Upon completion Craig was hired at Sound Ideas, where he began recording and editing sound effects full time. While there, sound for film peaked his interest. He moved to Toronto and joined Casablanca Sound. There, he worked as an assistant to several of the top re-recording mixers in Canada. After five years there, an opportunity arose to visit a few sound facilities in Los Angeles, and Craig realized that moving to the next level would involve a change of venue. He relocated to Santa Monica and was hired at Todd-AO. Over the next 8 years, Craig served as an apprentice for several world-renowned mixers, soon taking the leap into mixing himself in 2009.
Craig started his own company in 2016, "Wired for Sound Inc" and works in Los Angeles.
