Vai The full programme has been announced for Femspectives - Glasgow Feminist Film Festival, which runs from February 20 to 23 and aims to celebrate international talent alongside homegrown filmmaking.
The festival will open with ensemble film Vai, which was shot by nine directors across seven Pacific countries. It will close with shorts night Made In Scotland, featuring shorts from Raisah Ahmad and Alison Piper among others.
The 2020 festival is based around three themes - It’s Complicated, Collective Memory: Trauma & Nation and Autonomy.
Among the films in the line-up include documentaries The Archivettes, which considers the Lesbian Herstory Archives, the world’s largest collection of materials by and about lesbians, and Little Miss Westie, which follows Ren McCarthy as she becomes the first trans girl to compete in her town's Lil Miss Westie pageant.
Fiction features include the UK premiere of The Awakening Of The Ants, which follows a woman as.
