- Ed used to coach football for a youth sports league, as a volunteer, in Houston.
- Ed once visited Dayton, Ohio as a Top Six Finalist in the Dayton Playhouse Future Fest. His sinuses were killing him the whole time, not knowing until he got there that Dayton is known as Sinus Valley by the locals.
- Ed has made his living as a: Substiture Teacher, School Bus Driver, Security Guard, Master Control Operator, Limo Driver, and a Quality Control Manager at an Insurance Company.
- Ed had screenplays make the Finals at three different film festivals in 2014: Richmond, Nashville, and Catalina.
- Ed has won awards in 3 screenplay contests and made the finals in several others: Platinum Remi from WorldFest Houston (2015), Best in Genre (Sci-Fi) from Richmond Film Festival (2014) and Grand Prize-Action Adventure from Screenplay Festival (2010), up to this point.
- Ed won the Grand Prize in the Action Adventure category for the first screenplay he ever wrote in 2010 from Screenplay Festival (www.screenplayfestival.com).
- Actors Josh Brener, Sterling Knight and Aaron Christian Howles all appeared in stage plays in Houston, Texas, written by Ed when they were kids.
