A scripted miniseries on Tiger Woods, based on Jeff Benedict’s book about pro golfer is in development at Brent Montgomery’s Wheelhouse Entertainment.
Benedict reached a deal with Montgomery to set up a joint venture at Whe, with “Tiger Woods” as the first project that Benedict and Wheelhouse will take to market. The book, which Benedict co-authored with “60 Minutes” correspondent Armen Keteyian, was published last year and became a New York Times bestseller.
The book begins with Woods’ 2009 car accident and subsequent martial infidelity that began the once-dominant golfer’s career downturn, which included numerous back injuries as well. During Woods’ early career, he appeared in prime position to supplant Jack Nicklaus as the record-holder for the most major tournament victories.

Exclusive: Tiger Woods, Jeff Benedict’s recently published biography of the controversial golf champion, is being turned into a scripted miniseries after the author struck a deal with Brent Montgomery’s Wheelhouse Entertainment.
The book, which was published last year, became a New York Times best seller and is the first project taken to market by Wheelhouse and Benedict.
The move comes as Woods won his fifth Masters championship last month, widely considered one of the greatest career comebacks in sports history.
Tiger Woods, which was published by CBS Corp-owned Simon & Schuster, opens with the 2009 car accident on the day after Thanskgiving that precipitated Woods’ infidelity scandal. Awards season just started, but considering that La La Land is already grabbing tons of little statues and plaques, it seems like the movie industry could be readying itself for a musical renaissance of sorts. Granted, superhero movies will probably have to die out before that ever happens, but the public clearly has a taste for people singing about doing things. According to Deadline, Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig are going to take advantage of that with a new musical based on the book Everything’s Coming Up Profits: The Golden Age Of Industrial Musicals, with Smash and Hairspray writers Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman putting together the score.

Lisa Irwin‘s memory is still ever-present in the north Kansas City, Missouri, home from which she disappeared more than five years ago as a 10-month-old toddler.
This past Halloween her mom, Deborah Bradley, bought Lisa an Elsa costume from the Disney movie Frozen. For Lisa’s last birthday — she would have turned 6 on Nov. 11 — Deborah and Lisa’s father, Jeremy Irwin, planned to buy her a necklace bearing Lisa’s topaz birthstone.

For more than five years, the parents of missing Lisa Irwin — who disappeared in October 2011 from her crib just a few weeks shy of her first birthday — have insisted she was taken from their home in Kansas City, Missouri.
Police don’t know what to believe, or who might be to blame.
“It’s hard to say that somebody isn’t a suspect when you don’t have any,” Kansas City police Maj. Steve Young tells People in this week’s issue, on newsstands now. “But truly, there isn’t anybody that is or isn’t.”
The unsolved mystery began the night of Oct.

Parents Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin have had to watch their little girl grow up through another’s eyes.
That’s because the only picture they have to show how their daughter, Lisa, might look today — five years after the 10-month-old disappeared from her family’s home in north Kansas City, Missouri — was generated by computer.

A review of tonight's "The Americans" coming up just as soon as I look into the tip of your nose... "You forget what it's like to have your own life." -Nina The title "One Day in the Life of Anton Baklanov" suggests an episode spent entirely in the Russian lab with Anton, Nina, and the disapproving matron. Instead, that's just one part of a busy hour. Yet the title doesn't feel inaccurate, because for this week, everyone is Anton Baklanov: trapped in situations they didn't ask for, and that there seems no hope of escaping from back to the life they thought they were living. Anton's prison is the most overt, because he was literally taken against his will (even Nina confessed to Arkady, knowing the gulag was a potential result), but Paige, Martha and even Philip and Elizabeth all find themselves living lives not their own, where they have...

More than four weeks into the investigation of the 10-month-old who vanished in the pre-dawn hours Oct. 4 from her parents' Kansas City, Mo., home, police aren't saying. But it's among the more intriguing developments in case: a possible call, placed the night Baby Lisa went missing from one of three cell phones that her parents believe was taken from the house along with their daughter. The source of this information is a woman named Megan Wright, who says that police have questioned her several...

Accused during police questioning in the disappearance of their missing daughter, the parents of 10-month-old Lisa Irwin want a new set of detectives to meet with them before they will agree to sit down for any further interrogation. That's the word from an attorney, Cyndy Short, who tells People that her clients, parents Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin, are on "an emotional roller coaster" as the search for Lisa hits Day 23. Bradley, 25, and Irwin, 29, initially spent hours with police but have not consented to be questioned since Oct. 8, according to police, although they have remained available to investigators who are following up leads.

I recently watched a two part documentary, Harry’s Arctic Heroes which screened on BBC 1 (9pm on 22 August and 30 August repeated on BBC1 HD, still available on iPlayer and for an additional 7days). The documentary follows the extraordinary attempt by four severely injured Afghan veterans to complete the first unsupported trek by wounded soldiers to the North Pole. Prince Harry joins them for the first leg of their journey.
The documentary was filmed over the course of a year and followed the soldiers; Captain Martin Hewitt (29), Captain Guy Disney (28), Sergeant Steve Young (28) and Private Jaco Van Gass (26) whilst they undertook gruelling training in the UK and Norway before embarking on the expedition to the Arctic which provided a stunning backdrop for their longer journeys towards physical and psychological recovery.
The documentary itself was impressive and inspiring throughout this was helped in large part by the fantastic score composed by Lorne Balfe...

When he's not whipping up one-liners for the Late Show with David Letterman 's nightly Top Ten list (or tweeting), TV writer Steve Young posts quips and self-proclaimed "mediocre photos" on his behind-the-scenes blog, CelebriGum.
Young writes on his blog:
