- President of Global Star Productions, Michael Wehrhahn produced the 3-D film trilogy entitled "The Monkey King" - Part one "Havoc in Heavens Palace" features Academy Award Nominee Chow Yun-Fat, Martial Arts Master Donnie Yen and famed acting/music Superstar Aaron Kwok. Michael enlisted Hollywood's best Special Effects pros (Star Wars, Oz, Iron Man, Spiderman) in the supervising of a dozen Special Effects teams, to create the films formats 2-D to 3-D and IMAX ,as well in the coordinating of the marketing campaigns in several countries around the world in bringing The Monkey King to life.
Mr. Wehrhahn joined forces with former Imagine Films President / Universal Television Icon Robert Harris in producing and releasing high end features for the U.S. and Asian markets. The dynamic-duo have joined forces to bring "The Monkey King" and its multi-faceted franchise to new heights.
But this isn't the first time Michael has co-produced with China's film Industry. In 2008 he teamed up with China's super star Leon Lai to produce the Sony production called "A Melody Looking" in which was a Motion Picture and Musical featuring pop stars Janice Vidal, Chapman To and Jill Vidal.
In 2006 Michael co-produced along side Gold Crest President Nick Quested and Executive Producer Thadd Turner in "The Seven Mummies" recruiting several teams including Jackie Chan's HKSA Stunt Team and the World Famous Tony Leung to action direct and create high-end Wire and Action Choreography in the setting of Tombstones old west.
During the boom of the "Digital Era" and "Reality Show Drama", Michael created and produced the TV reality show "Who the Frak" starring world renowned actor Richard Hatch (Battlestar Galactica, Streets of San Francisco). The show ran several seasons displaying the actor's life from Sci-Fi Conventions to International Cruises as well as his home life. "Who the Frak" also created its own Social Network under Michael's direction allowing fans the rare opportunity to interact with the show's star. In Late 2003 Michael alongside actor Richard Hatch produced "THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY REUNION" of "BATTLESTAR GALACTICA" in Universal City, CA reuniting fans with the show from around the world for the new re-release of the epic series on television.
At the turn of the century, Mr. Wehrhahn relocated to Wilmington, NC to work for Screen Gems Studios, home to shows and movies such as Dawson's Creek, The Black Knight and One Tree Hill, to assist in developmental projects and maintain events alongside studio President Frank Capra Jr. and VP Gerald Waller on the Screen Gems lots. Throughout the nineties, Michael produced several successful independent features including "Blazin'" starring rap icon Fat Joe. The DVD peaked at #15 on the Billboard Top 20 DVD Releases and remained perched atop the charts for several consecutive weeks and garnered positive reviews from such diverse outlets as MTV News, The Source Magazine, Ain't It Cool News and Amazon.com. Other highlights in producing include "The Secret War" starring Howard Stern's KC Armstrong and comedian Jim Florentine as well as the virtual reality film "What's Eating You".

After numerous extensive appearances on NBC's Late Night with Conan O' Brien Show with WaterWorld's William Preston as an actor Michael proved he could perform his own stunts as well as act to entertain live audience around the world on national television for three seasons.
In late 1999 he has undertaken his most ambitious project ever: playing Billy Stevens in What's Eating You?, a comedy horror film filled with Science fiction and virtual reality sets of mass proportion.
