Hellblade 2, Ninja Theory’s much-awaited sequel to the critically acclaimed Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, is on the verge of release. There are just a few weeks till D-Day (May 21st), and rumors are already floating that the Microsoft exclusive is already being considered for porting elsewhere.
With the recent wave of studio closures, it’s not spelling good news for the state of Ninja Theory or Hellblade. If Microsoft is already planning on porting the game, I don’t need to say more about what could happen (Hint: Tango Gameworks).
Even Before Launch, Hellblade 2’s Exclusive Status Isn’t Guaranteed
PS5 users might enjoy Hellblade 2 sooner than we thought.
The Hellblade game has always been sort of a niche, but it is undoubtedly one of Microsoft’s most interesting exclusives. The first game is a dark and haunting journey through the mind of its protagonist, Senua, as she goes on...

When it comes to company secrets, PlayStation isn’t the worst out there, but the team still has its leaks. There is no saying whether these leaks are credible or not, but understanding how the company responds to them can reveal a lot of their veracity.
A company moving to quash any discussion related to their hardware can be taken as a form of confirmation for the hardware’s existence. So, when PlayStation tried to stifle a YouTube channel by requesting a takedown of their video, people were rightfully thinking they had something concrete in their hands.
PlayStation Takes Down Video with Information on a New Console
The PlayStation 5 Pro may be coming sooner than you think!
In an industry as large and connected as gaming, leaks are more a question of ‘when’ than ‘if’. While some companies try to hide their secrets, others do intentional leaks to build hype.

A glimpse into the next Gears of War might just be a couple of months away. The Coalition, the developers of the game, are said to be working on one, and rumors suggest it will be the continuation of the last mainline game’s story. The first three Gears of War games focus on Marcus Fenix, while the following games pick up different protagonists.

After many rumors and all kinds of supposed leaks, the PS5 Pro is apparently a reality. Several sources are saying that the leaks in the specs of the console are very real. So it makes sense that Xbox is not so eager to keep selling consoles.
The rumors are saying that Sony wants to start selling this console by the end of the year, or more specifically, the holidays. Sources are saying that first-party studios from PlayStation have been testing the development kit for the PS5 Pro for months.

Xbox has made several attempts to ensure it is not left behind in the “console wars”. From acquiring studios left, right, and center to launching a more economical entry point in the current console generation, none of it stopped PlayStation from ruling the console market.
In the industry, video game showcases, and game fests have become platforms developers use to announce new titles and share details about the ones announced already. Geoff Keighley also recently announced the date for the Summer Game Fest, and as it stands, the date seems to add some more weight to a rumor that it has the potential to end the console wars.

Microsoft acquired Bethesda for 7,500 billion dollars back in 2020. PlayStation players were not sure about the next games from the company launching on PS5. For the moment, Bethesda has made only two exclusive games for Xbox consoles.
Starfield had an average reception, and Redfall was a horrible failure. Hi-Fi Rush is also from Bethesda, but it was confirmed that the game will launch on PS5 soon. Another very anticipated game was confirmed to launch on PS5 on day one. The Elder Scrolls 6 was mentioned in the Xbox Era podcast.

Hi-Fi Rush, an Xbox and PC exclusive game might be released for PS5 on March 18, 2024. The rhythm-action brawler is one of the highly anticipated Xbox titles rumored to go cross-platform.
The revelation came from an announcement YouTube video posted by Bethesda’s Latin America channel. After it was spotted by fans, the video was quickly taken down. However, some fans managed to get a glimpse at the release date before the video went away.
As spotted by Tom Warren for The Verge, the reported video featured a release date of March 19 in the description. However, the release date announcement card at the end of the video (seen above) displays March 18 as a release date.
It is likely that Hi-Fi Rush might release for PS5 in March. It’s possible that Bethesda is gearing up to announce the release date in coming days. After all, 2 Xbox-exclusive games, Grounded and Pentiment, were recently announced for Nintendo Switch.

Xbox fans (and gamers from all walks of life) are currently losing their mind over a series of rumors regarding potential ports of formerly exclusive Xbox games. While “gamers are upset about rumors” isn’t usually newsworthy even on a slow news day, these particular rumors recently got significantly more interesting. What happens next could prove to be one of the most consequential decisions in modern gaming history.
So if you’ve just caught a whiff of the discourse and are desperately trying to make sense of this increasingly bizarre situation, here’s a rundown of what is happening, what it means, why all of this is causing some gamers to lose their minds.

It’s-a me, Mario! Or is it? Many who have seen the trailer for the upcoming The Super Mario Bros. Movie have taken to social media to express that Chris Pratt sounds nothing like Mario–or at least the Mario they grew up with.
Earlier this year, Chris Pratt told Variety, “I worked really closely with the directors and trying out a few things and landed on something that I’m really proud of and can’t wait for people to see and hear….I’m providing a voice for an animated character, and it is updated and unlike anything you’ve heard in the Mario world before.”
And that’s just the problem for some, as the below tweets show:

The conversation around Chris Pratt’s casting as the voice of Mario in Illumination and Nintendo’s upcoming The Super Mario Bros Movie was well underway before Thursday. But it hit a new gear after the first trailer – and first listen of Pratt’s interpretation of the video game icon — was released at New York Comic-Con. It hits theaters April 7, 2023.
The trailer comes more than a year after the voice cast for the pic was revealed, with Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach and Jack Black as Bowser among others. “Each voice actor was cast for their ability to capture the unique spirit of their character,” read Universal and Nintendo’s release at the time about the casting choices.

Microsoft’s purchase of ZeniMax Media last year gave Xbox the keys to one of the game industry’s biggest publishing powerhouses: Bethesda Softworks. A platform that had previously struggled with providing a steady flow of first-party exclusives to its users suddenly had everything Bethesda Game Studios, id Software, Arkane Studios, MachineGames, and Tango Gameworks had to offer at its fingertips. The question then became: what would this game-changing acquisition mean for the Sony PlayStation?
We’ve yet to really see what effect an Xbox-owned Bethesda will mean for the PlayStation 5. For the moment, Xbox is still honoring existing timed exclusivity deals between Bethesda and Sony. Deathloop from Arkane Studios released as a console exclusive for the PS5 last fall, and Ghostwire: Tokyo will get a similar roll out on March 25. In essence, PS5 owners will be able to experience these new Bethesda games before Xbox players.

After weeks of speculation, Microsoft has finally unveiled Windows 11, the new operating system upgrade coming this holiday. Boasting many tweaks to the Ui, as well as few other new features, Windows 11 should bring some welcome changes to the Windows PC experience.
At the forefront of the upgrade is the new Start Menu, which is now sitting at the center of the taskbar. The new Start Menu forgoes the tiles that have been a signature of the Windows experience for the past few generations of the Os. Windows 11 will instead feature a Start Menu that works like a more traditional launcher where you can quickly access your go-to apps, recent files, and the revamped Windows Store, which is now compatible with Android apps.

Just a day after the official launch of the Xbox Series X, one thing seemed to dominate the conversation around Microsoft’s next-gen console: a series of viral videos allegedly depicting a major overheating issue, as thick clouds of smoke were desperately expelled through the console’s top vents. The makers of the videos claimed that the Xbox Series X had grown so hot that the components inside were literally seconds away from catching fire.
I’ve spent the last two weeks with the Xbox Series X, testing out everything from its excellent load times and 4K 60fps visuals to its backward compatibility and game-changing Quick Resume feature. Throughout my time with the console, one thing I didn’t encounter was any major overheating issue. At the very least, there was never a moment when I had to nervously glance at my fire extinguisher while using the console. The Xbox...

One of the more notable talking points in the early days of the Xbox Series X vs. PS5 debate has been load times. After all, each console boasts a high-end Ssd that could eventually change the way that developers approach game design and will certainly reduce video game load times in the short-term.
While Microsoft and Sony are both clearly excited by the many ways that SSDs will change console gaming, the PlayStation team has been especially vocal about the PS5’s Ssd as one of the console’s biggest selling points. We’ve spoken before about why the PS5 Ssd is unique and we’ve heard developers theorize that the PS5’s Ssd could eventually force third-party developers to compromise for the comparative limitations of the Xbox Series X.

343 Industries director Chris Lee has informed Bloomberg that he is no longer working on Halo Infinite and will instead be focusing on other opportunities at Microsoft.
“I have stepped back from Infinite and I am looking at future opportunities,” Lee said. “I believe in the team and am confident they will deliver a great game and now is a good time for me to step away.”
This move follows Lee’s reported decision to pivot from Halo Infinite around the time that 343 and Microsoft confirmed that the game’s release date has been delayed until 2021. Now, it seems that he has walked away from the project entirely (at least for the time being). That leaves Joe Staten in charge of Halo Infinite‘s single-player and Pierre Hintze responsible for the oversight of Infinite‘s multiplayer development.
Taken by itself, this announcement wouldn’t necessarily mean anything beyond the pure facts of the situation.

It seems that Microsoft’s next-gen Xbox Series X and current-gen Xbox One X are confusing some customers rushing to secure a Series X pre-order. In fact, the Amazon sales rank for the Xbox One X, an upgraded current-gen console that was released in 2017, went up 747% when Series X pre-orders opened yesterday. The likely cause of this sudden boost to sales? People mistaking the Xbox One X for the Xbox Series X due to their very similar names. And it doesn’t help that both consoles were priced at $499 yesterday.
According to IGN, Amazon sold twice as many Xbox One consoles yesterday than in the last 60 days. The outlet also noted that Amazon did not see the same increase in PlayStation 4 sales when PS5 pre-orders went live last week, suggesting that this situation is unique to Xbox.

A new photo of the Xbox Series X processor suggests Microsoft has ambitious next-gen plans.
Xbox boss Phil Spencer has tweeted out a picture of the Xbox Series X processor that has everyone talking.
Actually, Spencer did more than just tweet out a picture of the processor. He's gone so far as to make the photo of that processor his Twitter profile image. It's a somewhat strange move that Spencer made with little fanfare, but little about this season of next-gen console reveals has been "traditional."
In any case, there are two things about this photo that are catching everyone's attention. First off, it seems that the words "Project Scarlett" are engraved directly onto the chip. Microsoft has used the "Project Scarlett" and "Xbox Series X" phrases in the past when referring to their next-gen plans, but a recent clarification seemed to indicate that Series X is...

Comic Book Movie has a few new pictures of "Amazing Spider-Man 2's" pretty elaborate Ravencroft Institute set, courtesy of Seven Web Heads. The shots contain an even more detailed look at the set's many nooks and crannies, including one possible Easter egg that may or may not play a role in the film.
You should definitely check out the entire photo set over at Comic Book Movie, and you can check out a couple of the photos below.
The aforementioned Easter egg is the name "Thomas Warren," which is worth noting because the Spider-Man villain the Jackal's real name is Miles Warren. Could this be the Jackal's father, or just a coincidence? The Jackal played a big part in the very divisive "Clone Saga," the story line that defined Spider-Man for much of the 1990s.
The Jackal debuted in "Amazing Spider-Man" #129 in 1974, wherein he created a clone of Spider-Man.

Following the release of the names of 21 of the people involved in the Alexis Wright Maine prostitution scandal, a judge has granted a request for additional information about the people involved to be revealed.
The initial list only included the names of those who had solicited sex from the Zumba instructor and prostitute, which lead to some confusion when innocent members of the Kennebunk, Me. community were mistaken for those who were actually being called into court. On Tuesday, Superior Court Justice Thomas Warren agreed to release the addresses and ages of the names in question along with some additional information after receiving a request from the Portland Press Herald, the Associated Press reports.

So let’s get formalities out of the way; there once was (still is) a band by the name of Neils Children, they were a post-punk band with psychedelic tendencies and as they went on began to delve a little deeper into the dark side, garage and psych rock. It’s during this period, that I am forced to admit I have prior, I have history, with this band. I say that, I doubt they’ll remember it, though I remember it well. It was a gig supporting The Horrors in Cardiff Barfly, who were touring in support of their debut album Strange House.

My attention focused on YouTube’s offerings in these previous lists, but today I turn to the Internet Archive. This site is dedicated to offering the general public as much content as possible – whether it’s live concerts, television shows or indeed feature films – for free viewing/listening or download. As I’ve previously mentioned, this content is in the Public Domain, which means the reproduction and offers of free viewings or downloads is entirely legal.
As a relentless fan and tireless advocate for classical Hollywood fare, The Internet Archive is one of my favourite sites out in the stratosphere of the interweb! Read on to find 10 classic films that you really have no excuse not to watch…...
