In Upload‘s version of the future, where people live and work is horrifying.
To be fair, creator Greg Daniels’ mind isn’t entirely responsible for season three’s terrifying visions of what society’s personal and professional spaces could be amid the rapid expansion of tech and digital life. Much of the responsibility for this bleak-looking future — the secret upload call center, temporary temp agency and “Reduced Circumstance Housing” where Nathan (Robbie Amell) and Andy (Andy Allo) come to stay with his mom (Jessica Tuck) — in episodes three and four were based on real concepts and places tied to homes and offices.
Director Tom Marshall, says he pulled from the “very real world of this time,” including Hong Kong’s coffin houses for episode three’s housing design. According to The Guardian, one such version was just 500 square feet featuring up to 30 residents, cut up with plywood bunk beds...

Cassandra Pierce appeared on General Hospital last year when her ties to a mysterious Port Charles resident were unearthed. Jessica Tuck originated the role back in 2017 and has continued to play her on a recurring basis. Michael Easton is nominated for his first Daytime Emmy for playing Dr. Hamilton Finn on “General Hospital.” He introduced the character in 2016, but it’s actually the fourth character he has played on the show in six years. He previously starred on “One Life to Live” as John McBain and brought that character over to “Gh” upon “Oltl’s” cancellation. Then he played Stephen Clay (the “Port Charles” character he played from 2001-2003) and his twin brother Silas Clay. And finally Finn was created a few months after Silas was killed off. So it was a long and winding road to get Easton to the Emmys in 2018. The winners will be announced on April 29, but they’ve already been decided in the drama acting categories by blue ribbon panels that viewed sample performance reels. Watch Easton’s submission above.

It’s a story about a dragonfly and the princess bee — a girl with terminal cancer and the boy to which she falls love with only three months left to live respectively. Their love exists in a sort of vacuum beyond time, a reality of the now regardless of future or past before them. She (Adriana Mather‘s Morgan) is but a woman unhindered by her middle class upbringing and conservative lifestyle. He (Zach Villa‘s Jordan) a sensitive soul, fluid in gender, appearance, and desires, who just so happened to see the hope and promise of happiness in someone he never would have expected. Everything they do is for each other, for that love. And it is worth preserving even though it will all be over too soon.

This week’s episode of Scorpion began with a jaunty fishing trip of a congressman and his aide. They’re taking a break from working on some important legislation, and enjoying the fresh sea air when their boat just blows up. I hate to say it, but it was a laugh out loud moment considering its suddenness and obvious overkill. How this would tie back to the Scorpion team and their problem of the week was immediately unclear, but what did become obvious is that the episode didn’t have the vim and entertainment value of the sudden dispatching of the politician and his lackey. Ultimately, the adventure offered some uninteresting insight into the team’s caretaker by bringing in a supposedly key character who’s never before been mentioned.

Good grief, are they just going to kill everyone?! With the chief goal of the final season of True Blood clearly being to leave as few characters alive to see the cast party as possible (fewer drink tickets!), this week’s episode tidily dispatched with a central castmember, a longtime recurring character, and about a dozen others. Plus it featured Eric in a fabulous James Woods wig circa 1986. Let’s dig in!
We start the episode in an ashram in Los Angeles, where hotties are doing yoga. One of them turns out to be Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp). Ohhhh boy.
Over in France, Pam (Kristin Bauer Van Straten) asks Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) how long he’s been sick. He says a month. Pam says she felt Tara meet the true death, so I guess that confirms it once and for all. Eric says that he has finally given up, mostly because of Sylvie.

From Amy Acker to James Frain, we celebrate Grimm’s habit of filling its supporting cast with geek favourites…
Read our look-back at the careers of Grimm co-creators David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, here.
When Grimm’s makers were looking for their Nick Burkhardt, the job was to cast someone with all the requirements of a leading man, but none of the distracting ‘wasn’t he in that other thing?’ baggage. In David Giuntoli, whose TV appearances had until then largely been confined to one-off roles in comedies and dramas including Grey’s Anatomy and Ghost Whisperer (the latter produced, not at all coincidentally, by Grimm co-creator Jim Kouf), they found their guy.
With Giuntoli in place, and a solid cast of regulars around him including Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Russell Hornsby, Reggie Lee and Claire Coffee, it was time to fill in the guest roles.

Over the weekend my sister and her wife welcomed another healthy baby boy into their growing family. (If you care, I’ll be posting photos of the happy family on my Facebook page.)
Shay Mitchell was selected as one of People magazine’s “Most Beautiful.” Personally, I love Shay for her brain.
On this week’s episode of Glee, Jane Lynch will sing “Little Girls” from the musical Annie. The song choice is very meta since Lynch will be playing Miss Hannigan in the Broadway revival of Annie, beginning May 16 at the Palace Theatre in New York.

Grimm
“The Kiss” Air Date: 8/20/12
It’s only been two episodes and Nick is already on slippery ground. We pick up from last week, with Nick battling the Mauvais Dentes, the dangerous sabretooth tiger like Wesen from the premiere (aptly titled “Bad Teeth”). It’s a rather lame fight scene, and something Grimm will need to work on going forward, since it was predictable, cliché and just not exciting at all. When Nick’s Mom Kelly joins the fray, it kicks up a little bit, and ends on an exclamation point, with Kelly killing the Mauvais Dentes. Clearly, she’s the better Grimm.
Monroe and Rosalee are at the hospital, desperate to use some elixir to help Juliette, but can’t do so without Nick. It’s basically a waste of their time, but it serves as a reason for Nick to rush out of the crime scene, leaving several...

Grimm
“Bad Teeth” Air Date: 8/13/2012
Last year, Grimm started out slowly, even dully, but as it grew into its premise and fleshed out its supporting cast (a necessity with a semi bland leading man), the fantasy procedural turned itself into one of the most reliable shows of last season. With the additions of James Frain (True Blood), and possibly a full season of “the woman in black,” or Nick’s mom Kelly Burkhardt (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) to you, Grimm has positioned itself to take advantage of last year’s momentum.
Thanks to NBC’s coverage of the Olympics and their desire to build on the highest ratings NBC has seen in awhile, we get to see what we have in store with Grimm early. And luckily for us, Grimm picks up, quite literally, where we left off last year, both in terms of quality and the timeline.

True Blood Preview: Searching for Tara
All the blood that was spilt in the season 4 finale of True Blood was cleaned up in last week's premiere, but that doesn't mean that the mess that has been created got any smaller. Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) are still trying to figure out what to do with Tara (Rutina Wesley) in her new vampire state and Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) face the Vampire Authority.
Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) warned Sookie that thanks to Tara's head wound there might be complications (or as Pam put it she could be "fucktarded") and there are certainly issues with Tara now that she is a vampire. This week's episode begins with Tara attacking Sookie and Pam only intervenes after Tara has bitten Sookie and not before Pam has had an opportunity to laugh about it all. Being Tara's maker, Pam...

It’s been a long wait, but True Blood finally returns for its fifth season on Sunday. When we last saw the residents of Bon Temps, many of them were suffering from serious threats from supernatural forces. Sookie (Anna Paquin) had just killed werewolf Debbie (Brit Morgan), but not before Debbie could shoot (and possibly kill?) Tara (Rutina Wesley). Photos: 'True Blood' Season 5 First Look Photos Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) had just killed off Nan Flanagan (Jessica Tuck), a member of the Vampire Authority. Though "True Blood" Season 5 will have its share of fairies, there isn't a single one to be found in the season premiere. No, unlike last season, which started off with 12 minutes of fairyland and spent most of the time explaining where everyone has been, this season begins the moment Season 4 left off.
At the end of last season, Debbie Pelt (Brit Morgan) shot Tara (Rutina Wesley) in the head and Sookie (Anna Paquin) killed her. This is going to have massive consequences for the show and Tara's fate will be revealed in the first episode. So is the fact that Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) and Bill (Stephen Moyer) killed Nan Flannagan (Jessica Tuck). In the first episode, we'll see the consequences of both of those deaths. We'll also meet Eric's "sister" and learn what their relationship really is.

By his own admission, Mark Roberts has had a lucky career. He began as a stand-up in Chicago, and was soon spotted by a casting director who helped him land work in commercials and "every movie that filmed in Chicago." Sitcom work soon followed, including a series regular gig on the Tea Leoni series "The Naked Truth," before Roberts chose to pursue writing, his true passion. His 2000 play "Couples Counseling Killed Katie," starring Roberts and Jessica Tuck, caught the eye of producer Chuck Lorre, who went on to hire him as a writer and producer on "Two and a Half Men." Roberts and Lorre would then go on to create "Mike and Molly," which won an Emmy last year for star Melissa McCarthy. With his TV career flourishing, Roberts has decided to return to the stage with a vengeance. The next few months will see the mounting of three...

Looks like someone is embracing her inner creepiness. Former "True Blood" cast member Jessica Tuck is set to join "Grimm" in an upcoming episode.
EW.com is reporting that Tuck will play Adalind's (Claire Coffee) Hexenbiest mother in a episode titled "Love Sick." While it probably won't deliver any immediate answers about Adalind, it will certainly give us more information.
In addition to her run as Nan Flanagan on "True Blood," Tuck was a series regular on "Judging Amy." She has also worked extensively on "Days of Our Lives" and "One Life to Live."
So Zappers, are you excited about this casting news?...

Her "True Blood" stint may have come to an untimely end, but that's not stopping Jessica Tuck from staying within the supernatural genre as she's signed on for a guest starring role in NBC's "Grimm" as a Hexenbiest.
Per EW, Tuck will play Catherine, the mother of Adalind (Claire Coffee), in an upcoming episode titled “Love Sick,” set to air later this season.
In other casting news for the show, EW also learned that Bree Turner (who’s appeared on Fox’s "Raising Hope" and CBS’ "Rules of Engagement") is joining the show as a recurring character. She’ll play Rosalee, a former drug addict who has been successful at staying clean. She comes from a long line of “Fuchsbau” (foxlike creatures) apothecaries (sort of like pharmacists), but she left the family business to pursue a career in the real world. She's brought back to Portland due to some sort of tragedy.

The long-running daytime soap is going off the air after 43 years on Friday. The pictures feature the show's final call sheet and a few scenes from the finale, which actually look a little spooky and include the return of "Oltl" alumna Jessica Tuck.
We have to confess that we're not regular "One Life to Live" watchers here at Zap2it, so we can't really put these in context for you. But we're certain the soap's fans can -- and will -- add comments below.

ABC's One Life to Live will come to an end next week after 43 years on the air. But, first, Victoria Lord will have one more chance to visit Heaven. The grande dame of Llanview — played by six-time Emmy winner Erika Slezak — is famous for her near-death, out-of-body experiences that land her at the Pearly Gates. She's back there again Monday, Jan. 9, along with her soulmate Clint (Jerry verDorn), after the two of them are shot in a shocking denouement to the Statesville Prison break. This time, Viki will be escorted to the afterlife by her late daughter Megan, played by returning fan fave Jessica Tuck, best known these days as the bitchy vampire activist Nan Flanagan on True Blood. TV Guide Magazine spoke with Slezak about Viki's latest brush with death and — dare we say it? — a possible reprieve for Oltl!

This week saw the season finale of True Blood, and let's just say the show lived up to the "blood" part of the title as a lot of that sticky fluid was shed, including some belonging to characters very popular with Ae readers. At the top of that list was Jesus (Kevin Alejandro), Lafayette's boyfriend. Also dying was Tara (Rutina Wesley) and Nan Flanagan (Jessica Tuck), all of whom were at the very least queer characters, if not actually gay.
I've read some folks here and elsewhere complain about Jesus' getting offed, thus giving yet another dead gay character ala Russell T Davies killing of Ianto Jones on Torchwood: Children of Earth. On the surface, that comparison seemed especially apt since both Davies and Alan Ball, True Blood's creator, are gay men, and on both Torchwood and True Blood, the gay/bi men killed were either directly or indirectly offed by their lovers.

After last Sunday night's season finale of "True Blood", we thought we'd have to wait a while before hearing about what's in store for fans of the show in Season 5; however, co-executive producer Raelle Tucker had a chat with EW.com and spilled some beans. Read on for the details, but beware of a few spoilers if you're not done with Season 4.
Season 5 will introduce fresh meat and showcase some familiar faces. “There will be a very significant, strong, mysterious woman at the center of one of our main stories next year,” says Tucker. “That will be a very familiar and compelling character. It may be someone you’ve heard of before.”
We will also once again visit the fairy world touched upon at the beginning of Season 4. Continues Tucker, “Season 5 will explore more fairies, new fairies, fairies in a way you haven’t really seen fairies. We will all,...
