- The daughter of Olga Tschechowa and Michael Chekhov, Ada Tschechowa made up her mind at an early age to become an actress, albeit she concentrated on stage work, unlike her mother, who was predominantly a film actress. In 1921, her family moved to Berlin, where she grew up. Until 1934, Ada was married to cinematographer Franz Weihmayr, then to physician Dr. Wilhelm Rust until 1950, and finally to boxer Conny Rux.
By her second marriage (to Dr. Wilhelm Rust), she gave birth to future actress Vera Tschechowa in 1940. According to her daughter, Ada was very protective. In an interview Vera gave to the magazine Frau im Spiegel, she recalled meeting Elvis Presley who asked if he could accompany her home only to be greeted coldly by her mother. After WWII, she only took part in one film Geheimnis einer Ehe (1951) (in which her mother, Olga appeared), the stage was still her great passion.

The daughter of a famous actress, Ada Tschechowa's early contact to the film business helped her make up her mind to become an actress, albeit, unlike her mother, she concentrated mainly on stage work but made some films. After the war she only took part in the movie "Geheimnis einer Ehe" (1951), the theater was still her great passion. On 28 January 1966, she and 45 others were killed during a botched landing. was married to cinematographer Franz Weihmayr (until 1934), then to physician Wilhelm Rust (father of her only child; until 1950), and finally with boxer Conny Rux.
