Pen Densham is the director behind The Kiss starring exotic beauty Joanna Pacula, ever so wholesome teen superstar Meredith Salenger, the legendary Jan Rubes and feature directing superstar Shawn Levy (Cheaper by the Dozen, Night at the Museum, and Date Night to name a few). The Kiss deals with the title smooch being passed down from one generation to the next. Unfortunately, for poor little Meredith Salenger she is next in line to receive this deadly kiss from her aunt, Joanna Pacula. Initially a flop when it first came out, The Kiss has found an ever growing following over the past few years due to the film being released at the height of the DVD craze. We had the chance to ask Pen Densham a few questions about The Kiss. Here is what he had to say.
So who is Pen Densham and what are you all about?
Wow – Not an easy question.

The Vancouver International Film Festival is my baby. In its 29th year, this is the event I look forward to every year. The lists I've kept through the year come out and I eagerly look through the list of titles in search of those little gems and every year Viff responds with a huge assortment of titles. This year's festival is no different.
Some of the titles we're most eagerly anticipating include Tsumetai Nettaigyo’s Cold Fish (trailer), Gareth Edwards’ Monsters (trailer, review), Jo Sung-Hee’s apocalyptic road movie End of Animal, Carl Bessai’s Repeaters (trailer) and Xavier Dolan's Heartbeats (trailer, review).
There's loads more so be sure to check the titles (so far) after the break. Many more to be announced in the coming days.

Gregory Smith (TV's "Everwood") has locked down three film roles says The Hollywood Reporter.
First is Jim Sheridan's thriller "Dream House" for Morgan Creek and Universal Pictures.
The psychological thriller follows a man (Daniel Craig) who moves his family into what appears to be the perfect home but turns out to be the scene of the murder of a mother and her two children.
Smith plays a punk rocker obsessed with the case. Filming is underway in Toronto.
Then comes Chaz Thorne's Canadian independent drama "Whirligig" in which Smith plays a young man who must return home and live with his parents after hitting rock bottom.
He soon finds comfort with his married neighbor and befriends her adopted 12-year old Vietnamese son. Shooting will take place in Halifax, Canada.
Finally there's Josh Stolberg's "Conception" follows nine couples who grapple with romance and pregnancy. Smith enters a relationship...

Have you been wondering what happened to Everwood star Gregory Smith? Wonder no more because according to THR, Smith signed on for not one, but three films. He joined the cast of Dream House, Whirligig and Conception. First up will be the psychological thriller Dream House. It stars Daniel Craig as a man who relocates his family. Even though Naomi Watts is his new neighbor, his dream house has a serious dark side. It.s actually a crime scene at which a mother and her two children were murdered. Smith will travel to the film.s Toronto set to portray a punk rocker infatuated with the incident. Next up will be Chaz Thorne.s Whirligig in Halifax, Canada. There Smith will play a young guy suffering through a rough patch and forced to move back in with his parents. He finds solace in a married neighbor, but when he gets...

Even though its been only six months since Star Trek first hit theaters, THR is making a big deal out of the fact that Zachary Quinto hasn't lined up a single project following that very big role. Of course, he was still on "Heroes," but everyone thinks he needs more cinematic roles. Well, THR is reporting that Quinto is very loosely attached to a romantic dramedy called Whirligig, a Canadian independent film where he'd play a man who, in a misguided attempt to woo an older woman, befriends the woman's adopted son. Shooting is set to start early next year, but they're unsure if everything will work out because Quinto is very selective. Whirligig is to be directed by Chaz Thorne (Just Buried), based on a screenplay by Michael Amo, creator of the Canadian supernatural series "The Listener," which aired on NBC. It'd be quite interesting, and fun, to see...

Harvey Keitel Joins Little Fockers
One of my favorite character actors, Harvey Keitel, has joined the cast of Little Fockers, the third film in the popular Meet the Parents franchise. When I first read this I thought it would be cool because he’d be great as like Deniro’s brother, an uncle we haven’t met yet. But actually what we will see him as a contractor employed by Stiller’s character.
Ben Stiller, Teri Polo, Robert De Niro, Blythe Danner and Owen Wilson are returning, along with newcomers Jessica Alba and Laura Dern. Paul Weitz is directing the film, which has the working title of Little Fockers, since it focuses on the main couple’s children.
Zachary Quinto Eyes Whirlgig
I have been wondering what Zachary Quinto’s next post Star Trek role was going to be. Turns out he is now loosely attached to star in the romantic dramedy Whirligig.

Sources report that "Star Trek" and "Heroes" star Zachary Quinto is loosely attached for a part in the romantic comedy/drama "Whirligig." He would play the lead role in the Canadian independent film which looks to start filming next year. The film tells of a man who attempts to romance an older woman and becomes friends with her adopted son. Michel Amo, creator of "The Listener," wrote the screenplay. Chaz Thorne ("Juried Buried") directs. Pennsylvanian-born Quinto turned in a powerful performance in his role as Spock, impressing fans and critics alike.

As the theaters fill with serious fright fare for Halloween, there’s a new, deliciously evil little comedy from Canada making the cinema scene. It’s called Just Buried, and while it may not be horror in the strictest sense, it contains enough macabre sensibility, twisted humor and gruesome deaths to satisfy any genre fan.
Starring rising comedy star Jay Baruchel (Knocked Up, Tropic Thunder) and up-and-coming genre darling Rose Byrne (28 Weeks Later, Sunshine), and written/directed by newcomer Chaz Thorne, Just Buried is making its latest stop this weekend at Los Angeles’ Laemmle Sunset 5 for midnight showings (purchase tickets here). The story centers on a young man named Oliver (Baruchel), who comes home to a small town in Nova Scotia for his father’s funeral. Ollie inherits the family business, a funeral home in a town with a drought of corpses. Facing bankruptcy and failure, he and his adorably odd coroner/mortician girlfriend,...

We just received word that a new death-themed comedy is premiering this weekend in New York, and while it’s not horror in the strictest sense, I bet more than a few of you will want to check it out.
It’s called Just Buried and is the debut feature from Chaz Thorne. The story follows a geeky loner named Oliver (Tropic Thunder’s Jay Baruchel) who inherits a funeral home in a town with one of the lowest mortality rates imaginable. After a fatal accident, however, Oliver conspires with the funeral home’s cute embalmer Roberta (Rose Byrne) to find a way to keep business coming in, and pretty soon they’re making a killing.
Get it? Making a killing? C’mon, it’s funny!
Anyway, Just Buried is premiering in New York this Friday, October 3rd, and the Village East Theater will even be hosting a Sexy Mortician...

When Albert Brooks went looking for comedy in the Muslim world, he perhaps didn't consider that it was alive and well inside our shores. Filmmaker Andrea Kalin picked up her camera and hit the road with Muslim American stand-up comics Azhar Usman, Mo Amer and Preacher Moss, who started the tour in 2004 to combat the negative stereotypes associated with their faith by sharing their unique brand of humor. The film intersperses their routines with personal vignettes that show how the comedians employ laughter as a tool of information to entertain, to educate and to show that a good mother-in-law gag simply knows no boundaries.
