Catherine holds the position of Executive Director of 3D Animation and Visual Effects at Academy of Art University (AAU) in San Francisco, and has been a VFX Supervisor and/or compositor on over 80 feature films and shorts, including Academy Award nominated features, Beasts of the Southern Wild (2012) and Theeb (2014).
She also was the onset and post production VFX Supervisor on Fruitvale Station (2013), which won the audience and grand jury awards at the Sundance Film Festival in 2013. Her collaborative class, StudioX, at AAU has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, San Francisco Chronicle, East Bay Times, San Jose Mercury News, KGO news and other local news channels. Catherine is also a member of the Visual Effects Society, and has been nominated for a 2020 Ariel award for visual effects on the movie I'm No Longer Here (2019) and won a 2022 Premios Fugaz award for visual effects on the short movie Tranvia (2021).
