Are the Grammys over yet?
You could make a case that the 65th annual Grammy Awards telecast on CBS was a reboot of “The NeverEnding Story.” It went on. And on. And on. And then on some more. It kept going for 3 hours and 53 minutes and not a single acceptance speech was interrupted by an orchestra to play them off. Then even when it was seemingly over, there was still one more performance left, outside Crypto.com Arena in Downtown Los Angeles and fronted by a giant table of fruit.
But this isn’t a pan of the show. Far from it. It felt like a defiant celebration of all that is musical, a multi-ethnic, multi-generational party that put the performers and winners front and center. And while yes, it could have stood to be a good half-hour shorter, not at the expense of changing the Grammys to the sort...

Sad Affleck strikes again! Accompanying his wife Jennifer Lopez at the 2023 Grammys, viewers picked up on Ben Affleck looking particularly “miserable” during the ceremony, especially as he remained expressionless as J. Lo rocked out to the tribute performance to Smokey Robinson and Berry Gordy by Robinson, Stevie Wonder and Chris Stapleton.
“However bad of a day you’re having, I promise you’re not as miserable as Ben Affleck at the Grammys right now,” one viewer noted, while another pointed out, “Someone get Ben Affleck some serotonin.”
“Ben Affleck” quickly became a trending topic on Twitter during the Grammys telecast.
Likening his somber appearance to the iconic meme of the “Gone Girl” actor looking exasperated as he takes a smoke break, another Twitter user suggested “someone get Ben Affleck a cigarette and a dunkin coffee stat.”

Abbott Elementary star Sheryl Lee Ralph will be singing what has become known as the Black national anthem at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show.
The actor made headlines in September after singing during her Emmys acceptance speech, where she won the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as a teacher in Quinta Brunson’s hit mockumentary.
Now, Ralph will be showing off her vocal skills again at the biggest event in American football, with a performance of “Lift Every Voice and Sing”.
The hymn is often referred to as the Black national anthem. It was written by two brothers in the early 1900s in response to the struggles faced by African Americans following Reconstruction, and the Jim Crow laws that enforced racial segregation in the south until 1965.
The song has been performed numerous times over the years at the halftime show.

While we don’t yet know which two teams will face off for Super Bowl Lvii, we now know every musician who will be performing. Rihanna was previously announced as the halftime headliner, performing for the first time in six years. But she’s not the only famous face to pick up the mic during the NFL’s biggest night. The national anthem is always performed by a big name, with previous years’ honors being given to Whitney Houston, Lady Gaga, and Pink, among others. This year, country music star Chris Stapleton will perform “The Star Spangled Banner” at State Farm Stadium before kick-off. But the anthem isn’t the only pre-game performance the crowd will have the chance to witness. R&b legend Babyface will take the stage to sing “America the Beautiful,” another pregame classic. And rounding out her incredibly successful year, Sheryl Lee Ralph will also perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing.

When the final five artists take the stage Monday and Tuesday night for “The Voice” season 22 finale, Morgan Myles will do so under the advisement of first-time coach Camila Cabello. Should Morgan win, it would be only the second time that a coach mentored an artist to win in their own first season. Kelly Clarkson was the first to achieve that feat on season 14 with Brynn Cartelli.
See Who deserves to win ‘The Voice’ season 22? Let your voice be heard! [Poll]
While the laurel of earning Camila a win is nothing to scoff at, Morgan winning would be an incredible feat for the artist that was not only the first performer in the Blind Auditions, but also the first four chair turn of the season. Morgan sang “Hallelujah” during that first impression and was so good that Camila jumped out of the gate with her only block to keep Morgan from joining Gwen Stefani‘s team.

The 2017-2018 Grammy nominations aren’t very balanced, and the Recording Academy is just fine with that. In most recent years, the top categories have included a mixture of genres, usually including country and rock performers alongside the hip-hop, R&B and pop artists who dominate the culture and the music charts. Recent nominees in the marquee Album of the Year category, for example, include Sturgill Simpson’s “A Sailor’s Guide to Earth,” Chris Stapleton’s “Traveller” and Beck’s “Morning Phase” among them. But this year, contenders like Miranda Lambert’s “The Weight of These Wings” and Metallica...

Nobody knows better than Jason Aldean the cruel and random nature of tragedy.
When he signed up for a benefit concert back in September, he was volunteering to help hurricane victims. But by the time he took the stage in Nashville on Sunday night, he was singing, as well, for the victims of bullets that had rained down on his own Las Vegas concert.
As Aldean told the sold-out crowd at Bridgestone Arena, “It’s been a rough couple months for us up here.”
Aldean’s presence brought a raw immediacy to the evening, and the 40-year-old artist chose to respond with defiance.

Even the Sexiest Man Alive had an awkward phase.
Blake Shelton may be on top of his game this year, scoring the coveted title from People magazine just after topping the charts with his sixth career No. 1 country album, Texoma Shore. Girlfriend Gwen Stefani had plenty to say about Shelton's new status, joining the ranks of George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Denzel Washington, Channing Tatum, David Beckham and yes, even The Voice frenemy Adam Levine.
"What defines sexy?" she mused in an interview with Et on Tuesday. "I think somebody that is humble, kind, down to earth, talented, on the top of their game, should I keep going?"
Shelton may be all of those things -- but "humble" seems to be taking a back seat for the time being. Just take a look at some of his recent tweets, all accentuated with the hashtag, "#donthatemebecauseimbeautiful."
