After a rollercoaster journey of three seasons and 47 episodes, Star Wars: The Bad Batch has finally come to an end. The beloved Clone Force 99 have hung up their helmets in an epic 50-minute finale that rounds off their stories while also setting up the future of the galaxy far, far away. The Zillo Beasts Returns and Tech Doesn’t
All roads lead to Mount Tantiss, and following last week’s cliffhanger ending, Crosshair, Hunter, and Wrecker (all voiced by Dee Bradley Baker) launch a rescue mission alongside former Imperial Vice Admiral Rampart (Noshir Dalal). Meanwhile, Echo (Baker) finds himself inside the base and working with Dr. Emerie Karr (Keisha Castle-Hughes), who’s had a change of heart.

This post contains spoilers for the "Star Wars: The Bad Batch" season 2 finale.
Knowing that the imprisoned Clones are being taken to Dr. Hemlock's (Jimmi Simpson) secret facility, and that's where Crosshair is being held as well, the Bad Batch (Dee Bradley Baker) decide they need to mount a rescue. With no indication of where Hemlock's top-secret facility is, they decide they need to find Hemlock and plant a homing beacon on his ship. They work to infiltrate a summit being held by Tarkin (Stephen Stanton) on his home planet of Eriadu. As they make their way to Eriadu and begin infiltrating Tarkin's base, they realize there are other anomalies that make them believe the base has been infiltrated by others. They plant the homing beacon successfully, but Saw Gerrera's partisans are hell-bent on destroying the base, regardless of the importance of the Bad Batch's mission. With the base...

Two decades after the wonderfully zippy, goofy “Monsters, Inc.” was released in theaters, Pixar is bringing back Mike Wazowski and James P. “Sulley” Sullivan for another adventure. The upcoming television series “Monsters at Work,” which premieres July 7 on Disney Plus, picks up where “Monsters, Inc.” left off, with CEO Henry J. Waternoose headed for the slammer, children deemed non-toxic, and laugh energy replacing the suddenly outmoded scream energy.
In reviving the beloved characters, voiced by Billy Crystal and John Goodman, showrunner Bobs Gannaway looked to expand the existing world with a new set of characters, among them Tylor Tuskmon (Ben Feldman), Val Little (Mindy Kaling) and Fritz (Henry Winkler). Tylor joins the company right out of Monsters University expecting to start work as a scarer, only to find out that the legendary energy company is scrambling to re-strategize. He’s instead assigned to Mift, the Monsters Inc. Facilities Team, an...

Mike and Sulley are back and now in charge of turning scares into laughter in the first trailer for Disney+’s Pixar series “Monsters at Work.”
The Disney+ series takes place after the events of “Monsters, Inc.,” when the power plant started harvesting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis, thanks to Mike and Sulley’s discovery that laughter generates 10 times more energy than screams.
“Monsters at Work” will premiere on Wednesday, July 7.
The series stars Ben Feldman as Tylor Tuskmon, an eager young monster who graduated top of his class at Monsters University and always dreamed of becoming a Scarer until he lands a job at Monsters, Incorporated, and discovers that scaring is out and laughter is in. After Tylor is temporarily reassigned to the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team (Mift), he must work alongside a misfit bunch of mechanics while setting his sights on becoming a Jokester.

“Stars Wars: The Bad Batch,” the animated “Clone Wars” spin-off series, kicks off the franchise’s May the Fourth celebration Tuesday on Disney+, exploring a rapidly changing galaxy and bridging the original trilogy. Based on George Lucas’ concept of “The Dirty Dozen,” and introduced at the start of the 7th and final season of “The Clone Wars,” the genetically-modified squad of elite clones takes center stage as the series segues into the post-war Imperial era ruled by Sith lord Sheev Palpatine. Chaos reigns, with the Republic crushed and the Jedi slaughtered, and the emergence of freedom fighters and mercenaries. But where does the Bad Batch fit in?
“Now we’re dealing with the aftermath of Order 66 [which forced the clones against their will to destroy their friends, the Jedi],” said Jennifer Corbett, the series producer and head writer. “This is underlined throughout the series because it’s what changes everything, and what really sets the Batch off on their journey in figuring out...

Disney's D23 convention is only days away and preparation is already underway in Anaheim. Voice actor Stephen Stanton (Admiral Raddus, Rogue One) who has worked on many Disney properties shared a photo on Twitter of one of the banners hanging at D23. The banner gives us our official first look at Evangeline Lilly as the Wasp in the upcoming sequel Ant-Man and The Wasp.
Right off the bat it must be noted that the costume looks a little different than the one revealed at the end of Ant-Man. The costume we first saw (above) had blue and gold tone with highlights of red, while the image in the D23 banner has more of a forest green and gold tone. But fear not, it is likely that this version is an upgraded suit, or possibly a suit with different capabilities. And there is also the chance that it is the same...

The 2014 march of outstanding documentaries about artists continues on with the best of the impressive group of feature films. But this artist’s means of expression are not the brush as in Tim”S Vermeer or still photography as seen in Finding Vivian Maier or cinema itself (along with many superb illustrators) in Jodoworsky’S Dune. Nope, this artist’s (and after viewing this film, that title is not up for debate) means of expression were words with typewriters, computer keyboards, and his own voice utilized instead of brushes on canvas or cameras. The subject of Steve James’s (Hoop Dreams, The Interrupters) new feature documentary is celebrated, Pulitzer Prize-winning film critic Roger Ebert. He had been a fixture on TV screens for decades, discussing and debating current movies usually with Gene Siskel, so you may think that you know everything about good ole’ “Uncle Rog”. Chicago – We’d all be so lucky to live a full life of love, success and dignity. But earning it and then dying with it is the ultimate accomplishment.
The film festival hit “Life Itself” honestly portrays the life and death of a great man that any man or woman can strive to emulate. In the face of terminal cancer and leaving an empire and the love of your life behind, not many people can close the curtains as Roger Ebert did with so much humility, humor and grace.
Rating: 4.5/5.0
But I admit it: I’m typically not a documentary kind of guy. You have to care about the person or the subject or the cause. While the filmmakers always deeply do, many fail to make you feel the same way. “Life Itself” isn’t selling you. Even if this man somehow never touched your life at all, you’ll...

Chicago – The iconic film critic and renaissance man, Roger Ebert, deservedly gets a full documentary film treatment of his 2011 memoir, “Life Itself,” and who better to create it than the Chicago-based director of “Hoop Dreams,” Steve James. And who better to produce and guide it than Roger’s soulmate, his wife Chaz Ebert.
Steve James has been a conscientious filmmaker ever since his career began, and after the amazing reception for “Hoop Dreams” (1994), he has made many other notable documentaries including “Stevie” (2002), “At the Death House Door” (2008), The Interrupters” (2011) and “Head Games” (2012). James got the assignment for “Life Itself” personally from Roger and Chaz Ebert, working with Roger on the project right up to the film critic’s death.

In Life Itself, the poignant documentary based on Roger Ebert’s 2011 memoir, director Steve James focuses on the two faces of the famed Chicago film critic that fans came to know and adore. There’s the rounded cherub who jousted furiously and famously with frenemy Gene Siskel for nearly 25 years on television’s most successful movie-review show. And there’s the fleshy, asymmetrical features he introduced to the world after cancer left him without most of his jaw and robbed him of his voice.
