The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It at long last is scheduled to open in theaters and HBO Max on June 4, 2021.
The film reveals a chilling story of terror, murder and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense.
Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson return to star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, under the direction of Michael Chaves (“The Curse of La Llorona”). The film also stars Ruairi O’Connor (Starz’ “The Spanish Princess”), Sarah Catherine Hook (Hulu’s “Monsterland”) and Julian Hilliard (the series “Penny Dreadful: city of Angels” and “The Haunting of Hill House...

Though principal photography already kicked off in Los Angeles last week on the pandemic-themed thriller “Songbird,” the movie produced by Michael Bay and Adam Goodman has found its two leads, “Riverdale” and “I Still Believe” actor Kj Apa and singer and “Feel the Beat” star Sofia Carson.
Apa and Carson join a cast that already includes Demi Moore, Bradley Whitford, Craig Robinson, Jenna Ortega, Paul Walter Hauser and Peter Stormare, but Apa and Carson lead the cast in a film that is centered around their love story. Here’s the full, newly released synopsis:
Told from street level through the eyes of the characters, “Songbird” takes place two years into the future, as lockdown has been re-implemented after a more serious virus continues to mutate. In a feeble attempt to keep the sickness contained, the city has been bisected into haves and have nots. The film centers around an essential...

Michael Bay-produced pandemic thriller “Songbird” has secured its first international sale out of the virtual Cannes market.
European powerhouse Leonine has snapped up rights for German-speaking Europe, Variety can reveal. It’s believed there’s been strong interest on the continent, and that a number of U.S. distributors are also circling the film, which was shopped to buyers this past week.
Principal cast includes Demi Moore, Craig Robinson, Paul Walter Hauser and Peter Stormare. ICM Partners and Endeavor Content are handling worldwide sales.
Produced by Adam Goodman and Andrew Sugerman Invisible Narratives in partnership with Bay and Catchlight Studios, “Songbird” is set two years in the future, where a pandemic rages on, continuing to mutate and wreak havoc around the world. Michael Bay will produce what may be the first major film shot in Los Angeles during the coronavirus pandemic lockdown. Deadline reported Tuesday that “Songbird,” directed by Adam Mason, will begin production within five weeks.
While it’s unclear exactly how Mason and his team will pull it off, the production could offer a blueprint for completing films when traditional means of production are off limits.
Mason (Hulu/Blumhouse’s “Into the Dark”) co-wrote a script with Simon Boyes (“Misconduct”) that takes place two years in the future, when the pandemic has not gone away and lockdowns have been reinstated as the coronavirus continues to mutate. Casting is underway.
While Bay is known for megabudget blockbusters, “Songbird” is said to be in the vein of tight, low-budget thrillers like Blumhouse’s “Paranormal Activity,” and unites a team of veterans in the genre. Along with Bay, the producers are former Paramount...

Exclusive: Former Paramount production chief Adam Goodman’s Invisible Narratives has teamed with Michael Bay to produce Songbird, a pandemic thriller that plans to take an unusual approach to shooting a movie in Los Angeles during the lockdown. It will begin production within five weeks, and might be the first film to shoot in the city.
The film will be directed by Adam Mason (Into The Dark), who wrote the script with Simon Boyes (Misconduct). The filmmakers are providing remote training for the actors. None of the participants would say exactly how they plan to shoot a movie at a time when the guilds are still compiling their own safety protocols so that production can resume. I’m told that the filmmakers behind Songbird have screened their plans by the guilds, and they are good to go.
The film is ostensibly a taut thriller in the spirit of Paranormal Activity and Cloverfield.

What with Woody, Buzz and Chucky all vying for our attention, a doll’s gotta pull out all the stops to break out of the multiplex pack these days. The titular star of “Annabelle Comes Home,” sorry to say, barely makes an effort. Did the runaway success of her first two films turn her head?
Weirdly, the malevolent breakout toy of the “Conjuring” universe seems to be on the same shoot-it-all-in-a-day schedule as her cameoing costars, Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson. None of them appear in more than a few scenes, preferring to set things up and then let a cast of (admittedly appealing) unknowns take over.
The above-the-line trio arrives in the opening sequence, when celebrated supernaturalists Lorraine (Farmiga) and Ed Warren (Wilson) are transporting Annabelle to safety around 1972, just after the events of “The Conjuring.” As fans already know, this little artifact of vicious Victoriana tends to attract evil spirits wherever she goes.

At this rate, there are so many movies in The Conjuring's expanding universe, it's quickly becoming the Marvel franchise of the horror genre. 2018's The Nun was the fifth film under this umbrella, and there are more on the way. Next up, Annabelle Comes Home will haunt audiences in Summer 2019, and then there's a movie about the Crooked Man in the works as well. But perhaps the most highly anticipated addition on the horizon is The Conjuring 3, which will introduce the next chapter of Ed and Lorraine Warren.
In December 2018, I was lucky enough to visit the set of Annabelle Comes Home, where I learned all sorts of exciting tidbits about the third go-round with our favorite possessed doll. While I was there, I couldn't help but ask about The Conjuring 3, and I'm thrilled to tell you that I got a few juicy hints about what's to come.

The following interview is spoiler-free for Travelers season 3.
With the return of Travelers season 3 on December 14, Netflix quietly continues one of the smartest science fiction series on television, and part of the show’s brilliance lies in its understated references to a devastated future from which the travelers of the show’s title originate. The sequel that swept the nation, The Conjuring 2, was truly a phenomenon unto itself, and now, the dark power of Valak rules once again with the next chapter in The Conjuring Universe, The Nun.
Many images in the new film are memorable as well as majestic in their own right. But there’s a figure within, and although shadowy, she permeates the entire story with pure evil. The terrifying visage of the aptly named Nun has a name and that beast from below is known as Valak. With nothing but a white face, a haunting stature and eyes the color of a darkened sun, the character still continues to scare the hell out of audiences and make fans the world over, and the woman under the makeup has found herself becoming an instant horror icon.

No doubt there will be high hopes for director Corin Hardy’s first schlep into The Conjuring universe following his striking debut, The Hallow, in 2015. When Hardy’s mooted Crow “remake” was shelved, he was soon after announced as the one to tackle The Nun: an origin/spin off on The Conjuring 2’s prioress possessed by the demon Valak. When the first Annabelle solo film proved a success, a standalone Nun movie had to be set, with Hardy an apt choice to helm considering The Hallow’s top notch mending of tension with cosmic forest monsters. Sadly though, The Nun flounders onto our screens like a hotchpotch ghost train of botched schlock/pop horror, peppered with defective scares and a shrill, dithering plot. Too many clichéd scenes featuring characters creeping down dark corridors slow the pace instead of upping the pulse rate. For the better part, The Nun...

On September 7, the unholy evil in holy guise is back in the horror thriller “The Nun,” the latest chapter stemming from James Wan’s “Conjuring” universe, with an entire film dedicated to the origin of her horrifying visage.
Audiences got their first frightful glimpse of the demonic Nun Valak, who plagued Lorraine Warren’s visions and filled her with dread in the horror hit “The Conjuring 2.” In “The Nun,” the epic battle of good vs. evil pits a priest with a dark history and a novitiate whose own past isn’t the only thing that haunts her against the blasphemy that is the Demon Nun.
The new fright-fest is directed by Corin Hardy (“The Hallow”) and produced by James Wan, and Peter Safran, the latter of whom has produced all the films in “The Conjuring” franchise.

Scaring audiences…and me…on September 7 is The Nun. Fans have been waiting for this film ever since the character was introduced. People in the cinemas got all crazy during the Annabelle: Creation sequel last summer when a photo of her showed up in the movie, with cries of “there she is, there’s The Nun.”
In a post-credits scene (Here), set in 1952, Valak, the Demon Nun, walked towards the camera in the candle-lit halls of the Cârța Monastery in Romania, as each candle slowly went out.
Even more unsettling and nightmarish is the scene where she appears during Conjuring 2.
Prepare to pray for forgiveness. Have a look at the terrifying and Creepy teaser trailer and first poster for The Nun, the chilling next chapter in The Conjuring Universe from director, Corin Hardy. Be afraid, be very afraid!

The fight for the future will continue on Netflix with the December arrival of Travelers season 3, and we've got the latest trailer.
Travelers Season 3 will continue the mission to save the future as the series was officially renewed by Netflix, but interestingly not by Showcase, which originally produced the show in Canada. Lead actor and producer Eric McCormack made the announcement on Twitter on March 15, 2018, and even revealed that he's directing the Travelers Season 3 premiere.
Executive producers Brad Wright and Carrie Mudd also spoke about the show's departure from Showcase, saying, “We'd like to add our gratitude to our viewers in Canada on Showcase - as well as the Corus and Sky Vision teams - for two extraordinary seasons. We are excited to start shooting Season 3 this March in Vancouver, and to continue the Travelers story for fans in Canada and around the world, only on Netflix.

After haunting Ed and Lorraine Warren in Enfield, the demonic nun from The Conjuring 2 is going to get even more screen time when her own movie comes out this year, but we'll have to wait a little longer than expected to see the anticipated spinoff, as Warner Bros. has shifted its theatrical release from July to September.
Multiple sources, including Variety, report that New Line Cinema's The Nun is now scheduled to haunt theaters on September 7th, nearly two months after its previous July (Friday the) 13th release date.
Warner Bros. is likely looking to replicate the massive box office success of 2017's It movie, which was released in Us theaters on September 8th and has raked in over $700 million worldwide.

Production is underway on New Line Cinema’s “Shazam!” David F. Sandberg (“Annabelle: Creation”) directs the origin story, which stars Zachary Levi (TV’s “Chuck”) as the titular DC Super Hero, along with Asher Angel (TV’s “Andi Mack”) as Billy Batson, and Mark Strong (the “Kingsman” movies) in the role of Super-Villain Dr. Thaddeus Sivana. Peter Safran (upcoming “Aquaman,” “The Conjuring” and “Annabelle” films) serves as the film’s producer.
We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—Shazam!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them!
