Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker) has officially been caught in a fatal three-way deathmatch. Wait, I think it’s a four-way or is it five way if you count the SEC? There’s a new crime family on Weeds and this one isn’t run by the Mexican cartel. Instead Zoya (Olga Sosnovska) has managed to pimp her way to the top of the Botwin family totem pole. It was a shock to say the least for Silas (Hunder Parrish), Andy (Justin Kirk), Zoya’s brother Demetri (Pablo Schreiber) and Nancy’s CEO Foster Klein (Aidan Quinn). Unfortunately, Zoya is now the head of Nancy’s little drug business. Nancy has also managed to ensnare the affection of Demetri and Foster, much to the chagrin of Zoya. And, guess what? The SEC has all of the shenanigans caught on tape. It seems that the only Botwin staying clear of this tragic...

Would you feel uncomfortable if your boss at work sparked a conversation about “rashes” with you? That’s what we can expect in the upcoming episode of Weeds, “Synthetics”. Nancy may have forced her way into a secretary job through Doug and then flirted her way into a weed-selling pass at the job through Doug’s CEO, but that doesn’t mean she’s sitting pretty. In this latest preview, we see just how sticky a situation Nancy has stepped into. She’s involved in a love triangle with brother and sister Demetri (Pablo Schreiber) and Zoya (Olga Sosnovska). And, now she’s got to worry about obtaining information on her CEO’s illicit activities for the SEC. Unfortunately, after last episodes flirtatious acts, the CEO isn’t letting Nancy slip away so easily to do perform her treacherous acts. Does anybody think this story line is reminiscent of Nancy...

Let it be known that Weeds Season 8 is now the season of the flirt or the season where Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker) starts to seriously get her groove on. The season premiere began with Nancy walking out of her cell on her last day in prison. Before she left, she kissed her cellmate Zoya (Olga Sosnovska) goodbye. Shortly after, Nancy decided to become bed friends with her cellmate’s brother Demetri (Pablo Schreiber). Although she’s digging Demetri, that hasn’t stopped Ms. Botwin from garnering the attention and potential affection (I felt I had to rhyme given the addition of the new rhyming half-way house character played by Gary Anthony Williams) of the CEO (Aidan Quinn) of Doug’s (Kevin Nealon) new company. In “Vehement v. Vigorous”, Nancy begins to flirt with the CEO in one of the most seductive Parker scenes to date and she did it on...

Although I’ve really been enjoying all the scoop you’ve been posting from Sunday’s MuchMusic Video Awards, I couldn’t help but notice that we haven’t heard anything from The Vampire Diaries’ Kat Graham, who I know for a fact was in attendance! Any reason why? — Jess
The TV Addict: Simply put, much like her stunning dress, Graham was holding her cards a little too close to the vest when it came to sharing season three spoilers. Well, except to reveal that there is one thing we’re fairly certain she won’t be worrying about when it comes to what’s in store for Bonnie during the third season of The Vampire Diaries. That thing of course being: Death! “Technically, I already died in the second season finale, so I’m not too worried,” joked Graham when asked if she was at all concerned with Jeremy’s history of dearly-departed girlfriends.

Of course Nancy Botwin hooks up with her cellmate! In the face of the seductive power of Mary-Louise Parker, we are all helpless. Showtime's ever-excellent Weeds returns for season seven on June 27, and we learn that when Nancy went to prison to escape Esteban (Demián Bichir), she settled in just fine, thank you very much, as evidenced by her romance with Russian-born "roommate" Zoya (Olga Sosnovska). Press play above to see Nancy and Zoya make out, and find out why Nancy is less than overjoyed that she's being released from the big house.

Get your pen and paper out; we’re adding more people to the guest star list for Weeds Season 7. We already know that Lindsay Sloane will be gracing us with her appearance, and The Hollywood Reporter says we’ll also be seeing the likes of Martin Short and Aidan Quinn for a few episodes a piece.
Short (Damages) will play an eccentric attorney for at least three episodes, while Quinn (Prime Suspect) has been cast in four episodes as a charismatic investment firm CEO. Sloane (Grosse Pointe) will appear in six episodes as Maxeen, an artist.
Sounds very business-like. With the new setting of New York City, we’ll of course be seeing more roles like this, but I’m thinking Quinn will be the Botwin’s attorney more than anything. But wait, I’m not done listing names quite yet. Returning for four episodes is Jennifer Jason Leigh as Nancy’s sister.

Mary-Louise Parker may look cute as a button in prison garb and nerd glasses, but Nancy Botwin is about to go from big house to Big Apple when Weeds' seventh season takes the Botwin Family to the glamour of New York City.
And according to Showtime's press release, New York isn't the only change in store, and spoilers be warned. Season Six of Weeds ended with Nancy turning herself in for the murder of Pilar Zuazo, which season seven certainly doesn't ignore, picking up a full three years later upon Nancy's parole from prison! Of course, the Feds wouldn't simply let Nancy loose in the Big Apple, as our favorite dealer must first complete her probation in a strictly monitored halfway house while her boys head for NYC with Doug (Kevin Nealon) in tow.
But that's not all! Season seven will also introduce several new recurring guest stars, including...

If my Twitter feed is any indication, a slew of lucky TV types have already been given the opportunity to check out at least some of Fall’s new offerings. Are you one of the lucky ones, and if so, what our your thoughts thus far? — Mike

Fictional small American soap towns such as Pine Valley, Springfield, and Llanview have historically dabbled in social angst as it relates to abortion, war, and AIDS, but until recently, have avoided directly addressing homosexuality and same-sex relationships, as if shooting an unscripted pregnancy behind a laundry basket.
This has changed in the last decade or so, however, as a few American daytime dramas have introduced gay and lesbian characters, and achieved several important "firsts" in the portrayal of same-sex relationships.
"I certainly think the impact of these stories have been huge," says Michael Fairman, Advocate.com soap reporter and columnist. "These stories have hit mainstream press and have heterosexual men and women, as well as the gay audience, embracing them."
