For several years, Forbes has ranked the Dallas Cowboys as not only the most valuable team in the NFL, but the most valuable sports team in the world. In 2023, the Cowboys were worth $9 billion and rising — the result of decades of exceptional athletic talent, coaching, and management that took shape during the ’90s, when the once-struggling team transformed into three-time Super Bowl champions.
The upcoming documentary series by the Emmy-winning directors of Wild Wild Country and Untold will tell the story of how “America’s Team” established a legacy. It features interviews with the architects of the Cowboys’ success, including the owner, president, and general manager, Jerry Jones, who purchased the team in 1989. Among the doc’s other commentators are players who became household names in the ’90s — Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith, Deion Sanders — as well as head coaches Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer,...

Fans await the cast reveal for Dancing with the Stars Season 33, as each season brings various stars from acting, singing, social media, and sports.
Many sports stars have captured the coveted Mirrorball Trophy, now named the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy, in the late DWTS judge’s honor.
Rumors suggested the show’s producers wanted to score big by bringing basketball superstar Caitlin Clark in for the upcoming season.
Clark captured much attention throughout the college basketball season, and DWTS desperately wanted her as part of the cast.
However, an insider says despite them “bending over backwards” to get Clark on the show, she “respectfully declined.”
That was due to Clark having other things to focus on, including her basketball career, and she has her eye on a few shows on which she’d prefer to appear.

Cheryl Burke felt negative about her body as a ‘Dancing with the Stars’ pro
Throughout her Dancing with the Stars career, Cheryl Burke felt she looked different than her other female pros. She compared her body to others whom she believed were thinner.

You can take the dance pro out of the ballroom but not the ballroom out of the dance pro. Cheryl Burke, a two-time mirror ball champion, whose name is synonymous with Dancing With the Stars, left the reality-based competition series at the end of Season 31 last year. She’s doing so on a new iHeartRadio podcast, Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans. Sure, the series may have a provocative title and Burke is already digging deep with the interviews she’s done, but she’s approaching her interviews with a deep sense of gratitude for how DWTS changed her life. Skydance Sports, NFL Films and the Jerry Jones family are collaborating on what they call a “defining” docuseries about the Dallas Cowboys and the arc of Jones as the owner and builder of the franchise over 30-plus years.
As president and general manager, Jones is credited with engineering a massive turnaround that led to three Super Bowl titles in the 1990s. While the Lombardi Trophy has remained out of reach during the past quarter-century-plus, Jones and his family have shepherded the rise of the Cowboys to the status of the most valuable franchise in professional sports.
Using never-before-seen footage from the NFL Films archive, the as-yet-untitled series will trace Jones’ rise from the son of an Arkansas community store owner to the top of the pro sports heap. Interviews will feature ex-Cowboys players Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith and Deion Sanders; former head coaches Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer...

Cheryl Burke will dance her last dance on Monday. The two-time “Dancing with the Stars” champ will retire as a pro after the Season 31 finale, she announced on Sunday.

Cheryl Burke is leaving “Dancing With the Stars” after Season 31 — and hopes she’ll be back in another capacity.
In an interview with Variety, the professional dancer, who announced her exit via Instagram on Sunday, detailed the decision to leave after competing on 26 seasons.
“If I were to just talk as an athlete, a dancer and a woman, my time has been up. I’m 38 years old. When I came on as a competitive dancer at 21, It was a different story,” she explains. “That decision in itself was really tough for me — to put everything aside, to come [to L.A.] and do a TV show that I had no clue was gonna last for this long. My intention was just to be here for one season and move back.”
Burke has been part of “Dancing With the Stars” since 2006. She won both Seasons 2 and 3, with partners Drew Lachey and Emmitt Smith, respectively.

John Madden, the ex-coach and broadcaster who became synonymous with Thanksgiving thanks to his turkey leg awards to star players, will be honored by the NFL this year with several commemorative features.
With his telestrator and his penchant for yelling “Boom!” after a big play, Madden was as much a part of the Thanksgiving holiday as a family gathering.
Madden died at age 85 last year, and the National Football League is going to reflect on his lasting contributions with the “John Madden Thanksgiving Celebration.” The league hopes for the event to mark the start of another holiday tradition, offering special Madden segments on the day’s broadcasts by CBS, Fox, and NBC.
Madden was more than a broadcaster. He was also a Pro Football Hall of Fame member as the former coach of the Oakland Raiders. From there, he moved to broadcasting, where his exuberant style made every game interesting.

Cheryl Burke may have danced her last dance on “Dancing with the Stars.” After her and Sam Champion‘s elimination last week on Season 31, the two-time champ is likely done as a pro.
“A lot of people have asked me if this is my last season. The answer to that question is likely yes, this is my last season, as a dancer that is,” Burke said on her podcast Burke in the Game. “To have been a part of a show for 26 seasons, it is hard for me [to leave]. … I always come back, because, I guess, it’s really hard to say goodbye to a show and to a family, that I’ve only known here in Los Angeles. “Dancing with the Stars” judge Derek Hough holds the record for the most championships among professional dancers. He won the Mirror Ball Trophy six times over the course of his run on the show. That’s even more remarkable when you consider that no other pro dancer on the show has ever won more than two. It’s unlikely that anyone will come close to that record before the show ultimately runs its course — whenever that will be — but this season there are multiple double winners who could finally achieve that elusive hat trick.

Secret Celebrity Renovation might appear to be a knock-off of that show but it seems that the CBS series is more likely an extension of Superstar Renovation from 2018 which followed sports stars giving back.

Alicia Vikander‘s next role is one familiar to her: The actress will play a movie star in the HBO limited series Irma Vep.
The drama — written and directed by Olivier Assayas and executive-produced by Vikander — follows Mira (Vikander), who, disillusioned by her career (and a recent breakup), comes to France to star as “Irma Vep” in a remake of the French silent film classic Les Vampires. Mira in turn struggles as the distinctions between herself and the character she plays begin to blur. The series is loosely based on Assayas’ 1996 feature film of the same name.

CBS has ordered “Secret Celebrity Renovation,” which, no matter what you think, is definitely (read: supposedly) not “Celebrity Iou.” It just so happens that the broadcast network announced its brand new series on the same day the HGTV series’ second season premieres.
That’s quite a coincidence — but really, the genesis of “Secret Celebrity Renovation” predates the launch of “Celebrity Iou.” CBS aired a two-part special titled “Superstar Renovation” back in late 2018.
“Celebrity Iou” debuted this past April on HGTV and is the highest-rated freshman series in the channel’s history. That one was developed in June 2018 and “pitched before that,” a person with knowledge of the timeline told TheWrap.
“Secret Celebrity Renovation” will be hosted by “Entertainment Tonight” correspondent Nischelle Turner. The one-hour series “gives celebrities in sports, music and entertainment the chance to gift a surprise home renovation to a meaningful person who helped guide them to success,...
