London-born actor trained for stage work at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Made his theatre debut in 1922 with "The Rose and the Ring."
The son of a clergyman, educated at Charterhouse School.
Father, with (Mary) Rosalie Williams, of two sons.
Father: Robert Henry Sinclair; Mother: Francisca Sheldon.
