- Although she only appeared in one motion picture as an actress, Julia Sanderson "appeared" in almost every episode of The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961). At least her picture did. In the writers' room set, an old, framed, sheet-music cover hangs on the wall behind the desk. Look closely, and you can make out the title, "The Dairy Maids." Just below that is a picture of a women in an old-fashioned hat. That woman is Julia Sanderson, star of the 1907 Broadway production of the musical farce, The Dairy Maids.
