Avatar Entertainment president Larry Robinson has straddled the entertainment business for 30 years operating in the
music, film, and television businesses.
Robinson is attached as an Executive Producer to Universal Television International's spy/thriller television series "Operation Kazan" based on the book of the same name written by Spanish journalist Vicente Valles. Screenwriters Pablo Riquelme and Borja Moreno are attached to adapt the book into a 10-episode TV series. Robinson is also attached as an Executive Producer to the TV project "Brownsville" based on the life story of Dan Pearson whose astonishing story has become a very hot TV project in Hollywood. Writer/Executive Producer Jim Barnes is attached to the project as showrunner.
Robinson through his company Avatar Entertainment is producing "The Perfect Dress" starring Vadhir Derbez at Sony, "Chief Executive Dad" also at at Sony with producing partners Aislinn Derbez and Mauricio Ochmann, and the horror feature film project "The House on Tifton Lake" starring Vadhir Derbez with producing partner Matt Stein ("Holloween" and "Scream 4") written by Sandra Becerril and Henry Bedwell and directed by Bedwell. In the past two years, Robinson Executive Produced three feature films including writer/director Jorge Xolalpa's critically acclaimed film "Melancolia" starring Alessandra Rosaldo, Xolalpa's indie film "Savages" starring Vadhir Derbez and Elyfer Torres, and actor/writer/director Jennifer's Zhang's internationally acclaimed feature film "Charon".
Robinson is a manager at Avatar Entertainment, the international management/production company that manages approximately 75 actors, directors, and writers with offices in Los Angeles and London. Many of Avatar's clients are based in Mexico, South America, England, Central Europe, Australia, and Canada.
In the music business, Robinson was known for releasing soundtracks for film and TV projects through record label Avatar Records including HBO's 'OZ', Showtime's The L Word', CW's 'Girlfriends' and the notorious feature film 'Fear of a Black Hat'.
