Paul Rich, most recently senior sales executive for ICAP Media LLC, a subsidiary of ICAP North America, is presently CEO/owner of BoPaul Media Worldwide, which was formally launched on April 1, 2012 in Cannes, France.
Rich began his media career in the worldwide television production and distribution business in 1975, including heading up foreign sales for a number of Hollywood-based producers including Aaron Spelling ("Dynasty", "Charlie's Angels", "Starsky & Hutch", et al) through 1984 as CEO at John Kluge's Metromedia Producers Corp., Los Angeles.
He ventured into the theatrical film business in 1985 as head of worldwide television production and distribution for famed producer Dino De Laurentiis' public company, DEG, Inc., (Los Angeles), where he marketed such films as Academy Award-nominated "Blue Velvet" and "Crimes of the Heart", and "Manhunter," as well as the mini-series "Noble House". He was president of Rich International, Inc. from 1988 to 1991, where he distributed in all media worldwide the Paravision library of nearly 1000 titles including "Serpico" (Al Pacino), "Three Days of the Condor" (Robert Redford), "Carnal Knowledge" (Jack Nicholson).
In 1991, Rich became the CEO/co-owner of Trans Atlantic Entertainment, for six years before the assets were sold to Lakeshore Entertainment, then a division of Paramount Pictures.
His education includes Northeastern University, where he serves on the Board of Governors, Tufts University, and Harvard Business School. He is a former member of the Board of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and continues to serve as a voting member and judge for the annual Primetime Emmy Awards. He is married, lives in Bel Air, CA., and is the father of four children, nine grandchildren.
