Exclusive: Freestyle Digital Media (Fdm) has set a June 3 VOD release for the sci-fi starring Tony Todd. Vantage Media International handles sales outside the Us and will take the film to Cannes.
Andrew Kightlinger wrote and directed Dust Of War, which premiered at Comic-Con 2013 and also stars Doug Jones, Gary Graham, Bates Wilder Jordan McFadden and Steven Luke.
Luke Scuetzle and Adam Emerson produced the action-adventure, which shot in South Dakota and tells of a crack unit’s bid to rescue a girl after an alien invasion.
Fdm’s head of acquisitions Chris Charalambous brokered the deal with A & S One Entertainment’s Anthony Romano and Mike Reardon.
“Freestyle Digital Media loved the execution and genre of this film,” said Charalambous. “We know there is a huge audience out there for Comic Con friendly-product and we are happy to bring this to the fans.”

We’re only a few weeks away from the Season 3 premiere of Justified and we’re excited to with all of those cool promos running on FX and Fox. Season 2 took the show to new heights and the show was recognized at this year’s Emmys. Stephen Root has been tapped for a role in Fringe's fourth season, according to TV Line. The actor, who starred in the series NewsRadio and has recurred on FX's Justified, will play an as-yet unnamed role on the series. Root will appear alongside his real-life wife, Romy Rosemont. The two will play spouses in the sixth episode of the season.
Root is perhaps most iconic for his role as the nervous, soft-spoken stapler-hoarder Milton in the comedy film Office Space. Root has also appeared in films such as No Country for Old Men and Cedar Rapids. Root has appeared in both seasons of FX's drama Justified as Judge Mike Reardon.
Rosemont has a recurring role on Glee as Finn Hudson's (Cory Monteith) mother. This will mark the first time Root and Rosemont have appeared on-screen together.
Actress Michelle Krusiec has been cast in a recurring role for the show's fourth season.
