- James Rawley was born on June 18, 1912 in Illinois, USA. He was an actor, known for The Car (1977), The Reivers (1969) and The Creature Walks Among Us (1956). He died on October 18, 1996 in Clark, Nevada, USA.
- Aside from acting, James was also a high school drama teacher. Among his students was a young Robert Englund of "A Nightmare on Elm Street" fame. According to his autobiography, "Hollywood Monster", Englund served as Rawley's assistant.
- He also taught Gary Frank of the series "Family", and Carol Jones.
- He also taught Elli (V) thekingofbroadway, a plus sized actor who remembers him always telling him, "Son, you will be BIG in anything you do - ANYTHING!" Mr. Rawley was affectionately know as "J.R." and counted among his friends the great Lee Strasberg as well as the High School Principal, Norman Mathers, father of actor Jerry Mathers (Leave It To Beaver).
