While he got down on one knee two years later to the literary manager. But their relationship didn’t work out.

Plus, learn about Maeve's work with Go Girl Energy Drink and the ABC Family hit 'Beverly Hills Nannies.' Most Lifetime movies tell twisted tales of relationships gone wrong — but Maeve Quinlan's new thriller, Teenage Bank Heist, isn't one of them. Premiering Nov. 9 at 9 p.m., the movie tells the real-life story of a bank teller whose teenage daughter Cassie (Abbie Cobb) is taken captive during a heist. But there's a twist: Cassie may have inadvertently helped the bank robbers! "It's not your typical Lifetime movie," Maeve tells HollywoodLife.com, "and I like that they're really taking a chance and doing something completely different. Maeve also applauds the film's mostly-female cast, noting that she was particularly blown away by Abbie, Cassi Thomson and Rosa Blasi's performances. "Don't get me wrong; there are men in the movie, and they're fantastic," she assures us. "But it really is a female-driven movie.

But sometimes there are legitimate stalkers who send Ellen Page creepy letters or sit outside Kerry Katona's house. I'd like to think these people aren't truly lesbian but just women who are weirdly obsessed with celebrities. The most common Lgbt duo in entertainment is the gay guy-straight girl relationship – Will and Grace, Carrie Bradshaw and Stanford Blatch, Kurt and Rachel, Liza Minnelli and most of her husbands – the list goes on and on.
The somewhat indie film, Dirty Girl, which has been making the festival rounds for more than year and officially opens on October 7, tells the story of yet another such pairing with funny and heartfelt results.

As 2009 comes to a close, we take a look back at some of the people and events that made this the Best. Lesbian. Decade. Ever. in pop culture.
Luckily for all of us, there was far more information to have mentioned from the last ten years than we could have included in this brief survey. That's why our lists for each year are not intended to be exhaustive, but are instead snapshots of different memorable moments that included the representation of lesbians and bisexual women in film, television, music, literature, comics, sports and the Internet since the year 2000.

Michael Ausiello broke the news today that 90210 plans to give lesbian character Gia (Rumer Willis) a (gasp!) relationship.
And apparently, it doesn’t involve murder, sperm stealing or terminal illness. Executive producer Rebecca Sinclair told Ausiello, “We’re coming at this [relationship] from a genuine place and not going, ‘Let’s do a titillating story that will grab some promotion.’ This is a real aspect of teenager life that’s interesting… And there’s been a real void in the 90210 universe in terms of gay and bisexual characters.”
You’re probably thinking, “Read your own site, Linster. Karman already told us that Mandy Musgrave is coming on the show as Alex, Gia’s ex.”
Well, guess what? Gia’s relationship isn’t with Alex.
(Spoiler alert!)
Turns out Gia will romance teenage mom Adrianna, played by the gorgeous Jessica Lowndes.

In a Tweet that no doubt lifted the spirits of dejected South of Nowhere fans everywhere, actress Mandy Musgrave announced this weekend that she's been cast as a lesbian on the CW series 90210.
Musgrave will guest star as, Alex, the ex-girlfriend of Gia (played by Rumer Willis) who wants to rekindle their old flame.
Mandy Musgrave
There's no word yet on exactly when Musgrave's episode will air or if her role might recur (or how Alex and Gia's names can best be combined ala "Spashley") but we did check in with the actress to get her thoughts on her new role.
Musgrave told AfterEllen.com:
I am a little nervous, it's always strange going on another set that isn't "yours" ― you can feel really out of place. But they have the same hairdresser who worked on South of Nowhere, so I'm happy to work with him again.
And I'm so...

Sometimes Movieline's "My Favorite Scene" feature is a bit too intimidating. Who can choose just one of Charlie Chaplin's gymnastic eye rolls? Or one searing Marlon Brando monologue? I can't even decide between Lesley Ann Warren's several scenes of sauntering through the study while brandishing a cigarette and a candlestick in Clue. Maeve Quinlan, who starred for over a decade on The Bold and the Beautiful before landing the role of Constance Tate-Duncan on the new 90210, has a wide assortment of favorite movies and shared them all for our newest "Mfs" installment.

Nancylee Myatt, Maeve Quinlan, and the rest of 3Way folks recently released a full episode of the fake show-within-a-show Ladycops, starring Liz Vassey (CSI) and Christina Cox (Blood Ties, Defying Gravity), that they first introduced in episode six of 3Way.
Cox and Vassey play straight actresses (Lara Lancaster and Mikki Majors) who hate each other, playing lesbian detectives (Sienna and Jo) secretly in love with each other on the crime show Ladycops — which is itself a reference to the lesbian detectives Cox and Vassey played in the pilot for a real show called Nikki & Nora, which was almost picked up for broadcast TV in 2004.
Confused yet? But in a good way, right?
Basically, Ladycops: Brotherly Love is a send-up of police procedurals — complete with cheesy music, forensics banter laced with sexual tension, and the requisite chasing-a-suspect sequence — with a lesbian twist. It also makes fun of how some actors who...

If the cast of 90210 knows what happens to Adrianna's baby, they're keeping a tight lid on the buzzed-about storyline. "Whether Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) keeps it or not, we still don't even know," Maeve Quinlan, who plays Adrianna's mom, insisted to us at this weekend's World Poker Tournament Invitational at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles. There have already been rumors that Brenda Walsh (Shannen Doherty) adopts the newborn. "I can't really say what [Adrianna] is going to do," Quinlan said. "But what you're going to be seeing…is what is happening mentally, her decision process. I think you're going to be kind of surprised with what happens...

The players: Director: Bill Duke, Writer: Brian Bird, Cast: Morris Chestnut, Taraji P. Henson, Maeve Quinlan, Kevin Hart
Facts of interest: Based on the novel by T.D. Jakes.
The plot: A Los Angeles couple struggles to save their troubled marriage.
Our thoughts: Bill Duke’s “Not Easily Broken” isn’t really enlightening in its examination of an imperfect marriage, but the film boasts a fast-paced plot and a couple of surprisingly solid performances that make for a mostly entertaining, if sometimes overemotional drama.

Chicago – Stars Morris Chestnut and Taraji P. Henson do their best to make Bill Duke’s “Not Easily Broken” a genuine domestic drama instead of the cluttered melodrama that it easily could have been with two lesser actors in the lead roles.
Rating: 3.0/5.0 The film opens in 1995 with the marriage of Dave Johnson (Chestnut) and Clarice Clark (Taraji P. Henson). The man marrying these two beautiful people suggests that the bond of three strands is not easily broken. Dave is one, Clarice is the other, and God is the third. Of course, the film to follow will challenge the breakability of this marriage but not in the ways that you might expect.

3WayTV is a self-described Three's Company with hot, funny lesbians. Unlike other shows with lesbian leads we've reviewed (see TheWB's Joni and Susanna) 3WayTV is most definitely going for the gay joke, but not in a bad way. In 3Way, the audience is on the outside looking in, following the life of lead character Siobhan (Maeve Quinlan), a recent divorcee who takes refugee in her best friend's home, who happen to also be a lesbian.

Less than a week from the theatrical debut of "Not Easily Broken", Sony Pictures have let out three short clips of this uplifting drama about love and family. The three sneak peeks take their focus on Morris Chestnut's character, Dave Johnson, as he deals with his troubled marriage to Clarice Johnson.
The first clip entitled "Tree Visits Dave" displays the time Tree comes to Dave's motel room. While Tree insists to discuss their relationship problems, Dave ushers him away. Meanwhile, the second clip presents the scene where Dave and Clarice have a dinner with several others in a restaurant. When it is time to pay the check, Clarice insists that they should pay for the meal despite Dave's disapproval.
The last clip is called "Outta Here". In this video footage, it can be seen that Clarice's mother throws Dave's stuff out of the house when Dave comes home. She...

There's a welcome change of pace this week, with nary a Nazi in sight. Character actors go to work both in front of and behind the camera, there's a white wedding, a black comedy and a bizarre love triangle in Plautdietsch just over the Mexican border.
"8 Films to Die For: After Dark Horrorfest 2009"
For one week only, nasty niche distributor After Dark Films terrorizes 300 screens across the country with their third annual "Horrorfest" showcase featuring a selection of eight indie horror films. This year's selection comprises of: "Autopsy," the Lena Headey-Richard Jenkins' thriller "The Broken," "The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelations," "Dying Breed," "Perkins' 14," "Slaughter," the Korean frightfest "Voices," and "From Within," which Alison Willmore noted during its Tribeca premiere wasn't exactly for God-fearing types. Eight films to die for is what they say -- we'll settle for being made to perhaps feel a bit sick afterwards.
