Stars: Danielle Harris, Damien Puckler, Gary Kasper, Jon Campling, Tevy Poe, Benjamin Selway | Written and Directed by David Ryan Keith
Writer/director and seemingly one-man filmmaking factory David Ryan Keith was previously responsible for two films I absolutely adore – 2017’s Ghosts of Darkness (Still yet to receive a UK physical release) and last years The Dark Within. But prior to those he made his second feature, The Redwood Massacre, an old-school slasher movie shot in Aberdeen (of all places) that didn’t exactly set the world on fire on release – it has its fans yes, but its not one of those must-see genre films… Which is why it was surprising to see, some 6 years after that films release, we’ve got a sequel in Redwood Massacre: Annihilation!

After giving us the impressive Sable back in 2017, director Michael Matteo Rossi is now gearing up for his next effort, Chase. Set to lens this summer, we’re learning today that the film has picked up Grimm star Damien Puckler, who’ll be joining an already solid cast which includes Jessica Morris, Aries Spears, Skye Townsend (Lucifer), Richard Riehle, and indie horror legend Devanny Pinn.
Said to be a hitman thriller, Chase – written by Rossi – will revolve around a young hitman who’s “torn between the loyalty he has for his mentor/best friend and his girlfriend and young son, whom he was responsible for orphaning.” Speaking about how he’d describe his new project, the director/writer stated the following:
“Chase really is a roller coaster of a ride. I feel there’s a lot of stinging emotion mixed with some action and a lot of unique kills from our lead hitman.

When the scriptwriters were breaking in Grimm Season 6 Episode 4, did any of them ever bring up the phrase "self-fulfilling prophecy"? The monster of the week, El Cuegle, claimed that the babies he eats are destined for evil.
By the end of the episode, the viewers were left to seriously wonder whether baby Auggie is actually destined (destined, I say!) to murder his parents and more in another eighteen years.
I brought up the whole self-fulfilling prophecy thing because it sure seemed that no one bothered to stop and wonder whether the actual abduction of the baby by El Cuegle might actually serve as the pebbles that started the avalanche.
This is not to say that this is a problem with the episode. More, something for the viewer to ponder, especially in light of Auggie's parents' behavior at the end of the episode.
Really, it's up to the viewer to decide...

Oh, the sweet taste of revenge. Nick finally got some long-delayed payback, and Renard got no less than he deserved in Grimm Season 6 Episode 3. Dear me, but revenge is a dish best served cold.
And boy was it satisfying to see Renard's schemes brought to nothing by one brief impersonation!
There was a lot to love about this episode, to be sure, and Sasha Roiz was a big part of it. He sure seemed to have a lot of fun playing Renard, Nick, and Nick-as-Renard!
The good Mr. Roiz did an excellent job portraying Renard as his world abruptly crumbled out from under him, his house of cards suddenly blown over by a breath of wind.
I'd have felt bad for Renard if he hadn't totally deserved everything he got, and so much more.
Then there was the sheer glee from all of Team Grimm as they set about destroying all of Renard's carefully-laid plans.

Stick a sword in it — Renard, you wanna do the honors? — because Grimm is done for the season.
Friday’s two-hour finale saw the deaths of three players, including Meisner (sniff!), and some intriguing developments for various members of the Scooby Gang. Here’s a quick recap:
Hadrian’s Wall identified Bonaparte, a Zauberbiest who helped found Black Claw, as being the insurgent group’s top man on the ground in Portland. Meanwhile, at Renard’s mansion, Bonaparte used his powers to petrify Adalind briefly, then promised to hurt her children if she ever removed the engagement ring he put...
