Lea Penman was born on October 4, 1895 in Red Cloud, Nebraska, USA. She was an actress, known for We're No Angels (1955), Fancy Pants (1950) and The Romance of a Million Dollars (1926). She was married to Ronald D. Benjamin, George Treadwell Herbert and Clyde V. Fillmore. She died on October 12, 1962 in Hollywood, California, USA.
In addition to her character roles on film, Ms. Penman enjoyed a
prolific career on Broadway from 1917-1949. She performed in the hits
"Boy Meets Girl" (1935), "What a Life" (1939) and "Annie Get Your Gun"
(1946).
With Clyde Fillmore, helped discover Marjorie Lord as a teen when Marjorie was a
student at the school where they taught acting.
