In her silent heyday, this dark-eyed beauty was known as "the screen's
heretic" and reigned along with Theda Bara, Louise Glaum and Valeska
Suratt as Hollywood's most notorious vamps.

her husband, former actor Sheldon Lewis, in a small Hollywood Hotel
room.
