James Parisi was born in Providence, Rhode Island, one of four sons to
Santino and Elizabeth Parisi. He attended Classical High School and the
University of Rhode Island. James began his career in radio news,
before becoming a television news anchor and reporter. He was asked to
play a TV reporter while he was consulting for the film Everybody Wins
in Connecticut in 1990. During his TV news career James had exclusive,
personal interviews with then-President George Bush, and Bill Clinton
in 1992. James later became News Director for television stations
throughout the United States, lastly leading the CBS station in Albany
New York, WRGB-TV 6, in 1996. James is a pioneer of Interactive News,
and is credited with designing and implementing the country's first
Interactive Newscast in 1994. He now is editor and writer for
TVNewz.com, the television news industry's premier Internet Webzine.
James is married to Valerie Cavazos, who continues to anchor news in
Arizona where they live with their children.
